Because if you forgot, next week starts 4weeks of watching hideous clown uniforms. What new accessory will they make pink this year? I mean, for God sake, they even had pink visor attachment brackets last year.

I completely support the breast cancer awareness thing, but the pink freedom has gotten ridiculous the past two years! How about they donate all the money they spend on making the pink shit instead of turning the team uniforms into a fucking circus uniform.

Agree completely. I am a 2 time cancer survivor and even worked for the American Cancer Society at one point in my life so I am very sympathetic to all cancer related charities. That said, it is absurd to have NFL players wear pink for a month when they could just do it one day and promote the pink jerseys on their website to the female fan base and donate ALL of the profits to breast cancer research.

A pink ribbon on the helmet and/or jersey is sufficient. What's odd is that so many players choose to come out decked in pink. It's so awful looking.

The football equipment issue of Eastbay had a 2 page spread on this stuff. I wonder if that stuff sells well. I guess that's a good way to raise money.

i agree. i think its more about gaining a demographic than helping a cause. Like f16 said, give the money they waste on all this crap to the charity instead of paying to place pink shit all over the uniform

Which is why people should just donate directly. Give credit to the companies for cashing in, as well as contributing some of their profit as well, but a $20 t-shirt or whatever isn't 100% going to cancer research.

It is an absolute travesty that the NFL uses breast cancer to cash in and promote its brand. When 95% (guess) of the people who watch the sport get cancers other than that of the breast far more often and go to the doctor about these things far less often. The NFL could actually use a month to get men thinking about checking for a lump on their balls and maybe they might actually save some lives.
