And he should win his appeal. Understandable that the refs flagged it (I believe they did) but further evidence obviously shows it wasn't helmet to helmet.

It was awfully close. I could see it going either way. I expect the league to be pretty stubborn though.

But it wasn't. The replay clearly shows his helmet hitting his chest. Luck's head coming down from the impact of the hit resulted in the helmet hitting Perry's helmet.

Perry's helmet did not come into contact with Luck's until after the collision took place- it looks like Luck's neck went to the left with the impact and then to the right afterwards, and that is when their helmets hit. In the heat of the moment, I am not surprised that a penalty was called, but no way does that merit a fine.

who said he was fined for helmet to helmet? obviously that never happened.

the GB player did however lead with his helmet..thats probably what he got fined for

I didn't watch the video all the way through the first time. I don't think it should merit a fine at all. His head ascended towards Luck's chin after contact was made.

That was as clean a hit as you can get... put skirts on the QB's and give em pom-poms already.

"(The NFL said) I led with the crown of my head. For that, I got fined," Perry said, via ESPN Milwaukee. "I've got to be more focused on making a play without the head."

Anyone else laugh at the irony of this seahawks fan commenting on a terrible call with Green Bay involved.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                        "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

If only Luck just ducked down about 6 more inches.

Reminds me a lot of the hit James Harrison put on Ryan Fitzpatrick a couple of years ago.

My understanding was that the 25K fine that followed that particular hit was put into place because Harrison led with his helmet.

Is my understanding wrong here? What's really the issue here? the Fine? or are we arguing about rules again?

The fuck? They make a horrible call and then fine the guy for it?
