Surprised to see Rodgers as high as he is on most people's lists. He's been playing like garbage by his standards and very mediocre overall IMO.

Playing QB is all about being able to maximize your efficiency in your system. Matt Ryan is the best at that this year, taking a vertical passing attack and excelling. Guys like Alex Smith and Matt Schaub are not the most gifted QB's, but they are running their offense with minimal mistakes and attacking defenses when they are supposed to.

Alex Smith has been flat out amazing this year. He's making it look incredibly easy. I'm not crediting Drew Brees for throwing 3 picks every other game and then having to bail his team out down by 21.

Eli has been wreckless this year. He's Matt Ryan with turnovers. QB rating under 60 three times out of five games is not my idea of a top five QB this season.
