    Cam Newton = VY?

I think it is a bit early to label Cam this way, but his emotional ups and downs and his seeming lack of a pro-style offense are glaring...

Yeah, it probably has to do with race, and not similar styles of play, similar college careers, and similar immaturity issues. Definitely race.

      Don't be dumb.
So, metaphorically speaking, our physiology basically has the universe mapped out and you're thinking it needs to be taught addition & subtraction.

        Danario Alexander = Randy Moss

EDIT: Not sure I'd label Cam as immature as VY was and probably still is.

He was an idiot theif in college lmao.. people forgot because he put up decent numbers but Newton was a P.O.S... I wouldn't be shocked if that hasn't changed.

Yup. Nothing racial about projecting immaturity on someone you don't know ...

              What a dumb fucking column.

I have more faith in Cam Newton than I ever did in Vince Young.

Sketchy backgrounds aside, at least Newton is a hard worker and shows up in shape.

Also, isn't Vince Young one of the dumbest QBs ever?

Yeah, because you can't tell somebody is immature by the fact that they pout on the bench when they play bad and get yanked. Same guy who a couple of years ago was having his dad collect pay days, and was stealing laptops.

                    You're being an idiot.

                      That's coachable.

We don't get to choose our parents. I think it's pretty clear Papa Newton is the one who deserves the most blame. Cam was a teenager - not like he doesn't deserve scorn for stealing lap tops - but look at his role model of a father. I think it remains to be seen if having a shitty dad means he'll be a shitty football player.

Yeah and Vince's problems could have been coached too, but they weren't. I'm not saying Cam is going to be just like Vince, but there are plenty of parallels there that have nothing to do with race.
