So, metaphorically speaking, our physiology basically has the universe mapped out and you're thinking it needs to be taught addition & subtraction.

I don't think it has anything to do with maturity or skill, I think it has to do with NFL DCs having a year of tape and a full offseason to prepare. Last year, Cam was facing guys who might not have worked out over the long lockout and who were not able to contact coaches until the lockout was ended. Now he's facing the same NFL caliber players, but they are better prepared to face him.Comment

Teams are adjusting to the Cam offence and the Panthers need all three of their RBs producing (Newton, Williams, Stewart).
That's not a knock on Newton. I think he's a legit QB, but part of his package is running.
I'm not writing off Newton yet. He's young and he has the right idea - he wants to win.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Can someone more familiar with the Panthers let me know how well their running backs and tight ends do with pass-blocking? Alfred Morris is making a huge impact for RGIII this season, and from watching Clinton Portis and Chris Cooley in years past, it makes a huge difference to have that type of skill set on the roster.
I also think it's DCs having a year of film on Newton. Though hopefully during the bye week, the Panthers can change a few things around to make their offense more productive.Comment

This is when I wish I could actually watch Panthers games... because the only 2 I've been able to watch (Saints & Falcons) he's looked pretty darn good. The other 3 games, I've only been able to catch the highlights.Comment

Yeah, it's definitely teams adjusting to Cam.
Now he's gotta take the next step and adjust to that if he wants to be a great quarterbackComment
