Packer DB Charles Woodson out with broken collarbone

The injuries are really starting to mount for the Packers. The defensive backfield was already a weak spot on the team, this just makes it that much bigger of an issue.

@JayGlazer Big loss for packers. Charles Woodson broken collarbone out 6 weeks

House is back and healthy. Hayward has been coming along nicely. I don't think it's as hurtful of a loss as it seems. Woodson hasn't been the same in coverage for a couple of seasons. He's definitely not keeping up with most guys, and the blitzes we send him on have little no effect on the QB. I actually think the secondary might look better, from here on out, without him. As odd as that sounds.

Hopefully Shields is back soon. He was looking great.

I think Woodson's leadership on the field will be missed the most. I know he was the slot guy and playing some at safety, but whenever you lose someone with Woodson's experience, you're losing something big.

I don't know why you're so offended. Find me evidence of Woodson being in 2010 form. He's a guy who knows how to play all over the Packer's defense, and is a leader on & off the field. But he's not the same player, anymore.

Woodson has been playing really awful this year. With the replacement refs he was humping the leg of anyone covering and getting away with it, or being outran. He can still make the occasional play, but thats mostly owed to the fact that he basically gets to do whatever he wants as part of the scheme. I say give him 8 weeks off and make sure he's right for the playoffs when he will be needed most and hopefully he can come back and be more effective.

Remember what happened the last time the Packers had this many injuries I cant remember a season where there has been so many significant injuries around the league, a lot of season enders to playmakers.
