Why do the all NFL coaches overthink their playcalling so much? How you don't give AP the ball more when he is averaging 8+ yards per carry just baffles my mind.

They were put in that big of a hole because they didn't use Peterson enough early in the game. First 2 drives he was handed the ball twice for 13 yards. The other 4 plays were 3 passes and one failed reverse thing. The third drive Peterson ran twice for 24 yards and the 3rd play was a pass that resulted in a fumble. You have to keep giving AP the rock, plain and simple. ESPECIALLY when he is averaging 9 yards per carry.

Yeah that confused me. You got one of, if not the best, rb in the league and you run the ball 2 times total on your first two drives? Every offensive game plan they have should start with getting Peterson the ball early

You must have missed the fumbles, one was committed by AP.

I saw the fumbles. That doesn't take away from the fact that they should have given AP the ball way more. He was averaging 9 yards per carry. Not giving AP the ball, especially early in the game, contributed directly to the Vikings being in a huge hole.
