IMO, the piece Atlanta is missing is simply self-confidence.

The Falcons aren't really missing a piece, they're simply missing the self-confidence to believe they're truly an elite SB contender.

Falcons' fans and players simply can't believe they're a legit 7-0 team.

As an Eagles' fan, I don't see the Falcons as elite for the same reason. You have no history or self-confidence.

All that said, you kicked our asses in every way Sunday and I honestly can't see any weaknesses, other than Michael Turner's sudden descent into mediocrity.

i guess you are right about needing to Believe. but im pretty sure that the Falcons themselves are 100% confident that they are a good team.. them and the coaching staff don't overlook good or bad teams at all.

Huh? This is the first year in a LONG time you can actually tell the team has confidence out there. The team is still a work in progress. They're 7-0 and still haven't even put together a complete game yet which is scary in a good kind of way. A couple times in the final minute this season, the camera will pan over to the Falcons sidelines to show the offense players or defense players bonding and having fun dancing and what not. I don't remember ever seeing that too much in the past. The team is feeding off on Asante's "swagger" and it shows. Not sure where you assumed this one Dave, lol.
