I mean in all honesty he was the reason that Falcons team made the playoffs those couple times they did when he was there. Although he wasn't a great QB, he got it done....sometimes.
Someone will give him a shot. No question about that. Some teams needs a playmaker, period.

His last season in the league was his best year. He had his best year passing and not to mention he became the only QB to rush for 1,000 yards in a season.

guys you have to remeber. Vick might be suspended when he comes back. He voilated NFL rules and before he got suspended Atlanta cut ties with him.

I'm 100% sure all of you did something terrible to an animal... hopefully in a non sexual way.

But oh fucking well, so what he faught dogs, those were his dogs... I mean he fed them housed them, trained them. Shit I see people who dont treat their kids that good.

As far as him being a QB he was always good. The only thing was his WR's would never catch the damn ball. They always dropped it. Also the O-Line they had was terrible. I mean damn, and if he was just that terrible at the QB position why didn't teams just play his WR's man and just blitz everyone else? The Answer: He had a fucking cannon, accurate on the run, he could flat out throw it. He couldn't be stopped because he was too versatile.

And Jake just imagine "Tony ROmo" having a bad game and they put Vick in there remember that commercial? It would be magical lol....

Or maybe get ahold of yourself or someone you love? I gurantee you would feel different about it then. You're blinded by ignorance, simply because he was a great NFL player. So what, he should get a free pass? Just like all these other celebrities that get away with this stupid shit. Anyone that purposely harms an animal should pay the price. People that treat their kids like shit .. should pay the price. Its all the same. Im not sayin' that people should be excused from killing people or mistreating kids, but they shouldn't be excused for doing it to animals either.
I understand where you coming from, let me get that out there first... BUT

Fuck It, Life goes on... He paid his debt, Lost Millions, Went to Prison, has a Felony... Yes if was fucked up but my point was we all do fucked up shit and all have a different view on how fucked up a particular situation is. I mean it was funny to me that when this happened they hushed that Ref situation that was goin on with the NBA. But I pay attention to detail.

He did his time, he's been slammed, let him go! Unless of course you're a owl loving tree hugger, but still let the shit go... It's over.... Life Goes On. It wouldn't matter what his job was. It's not going to make a difference in my life. And it shouldn't impact yours too much...

Oh and for the record I've owned 2 dogs, one died of age the other licked some antifreeze that spilled on the ground over one summer. I've also been bitten by dogs and I've seen dogs (that wasn't raised to attack) just attack little children.

                      Shit happens.

If Pacman Jones gets suspended twice and didnt even get convicted of anything then why should Vick be let back in for committing a federal crime and yes it is on the same level as child abuse.

Someone around where I lived is in prison for 4 years for slamming his cats head in the door "accidentally". Vick should of got the maximum sentence which would of been 5 years. Anyone who says that it is just dogfighting is probably really screwed up in the head.

                          Leonard Little

                          Manslaughter Conviction

After a drunken birthday in 1998, Little crashed into and killed another motorist, Susan Gutweiler in St. Louis, MO. When tested, his blood alcohol level measured 0.19 percent, a level that exceeds the statutory level of intoxication of 0.08 in the state of Missouri.[5] Little received 90 days in jail, four years probation and 1000 hours of community service.[6]

                          [edit] Second arrest

Six years later, in 2004, Little was again arrested for drunk driving and speeding.[7] The probable cause statement filed by police said Little had bloodshot and watery eyes, smelled of alcohol and failed three sobriety tests. [8] Because of Little's 1999 guilty plea to involuntary manslaughter in his drunken-driving crash case, prosecutors charged him as a persistent offender. This made it a felony case.[8] Little was acquitted of driving while intoxicated, but was convicted only of the misdemeanor speeding charge.[9]

                          [edit]
If that guy can still play in the NFL after killing a human being than there is absolutely no way Vick shouldn't be allowed to play. I think the commish would require him to do some animal rights advocacy and this could turn into more of a positive. If he screws up once depending on what it is then give him the banhammer.

It looks as though he is taking responsibility and wants to turn his life around, and guys like Pacman Jones are getting 3rd and 4th chances its ridiculous.

Might as well put children in pads and let 'em beat up on them .. maybe that will make some of 'em feel better, right? This is ridiculous. Back to the same argument, if we were to do something like that .. we'd be screwed. Jobs would look at the criminal record and never call you back. Our Society is screwed up enough .. but how much are we willing to let slide for our own entertainment?
Criminals... well lets look at the history of the NFL....

When they (the NFL) first got started they recuited "War" veterans... Which means these are people whom killed and was trained to destroy man. Okay they were fighting for the contry but still....

Look at the History of the Oakland Raiders... They recuited players out of jail. That was their swagger. That's why they have the colors that they have. The only people they could get to play football was those who couldn't get a job anyway and they was buffed from being in jail.

Look at the Fucking Dallas Cowboys in the 90's... They used to go to jail as much as they went to practice.

The Bengals...Nuff Said and the NFL hushed up Chad Johnson getting caught DUI at the Dayton Mall. but you know everyone is perfect.

My Point? Shit happens, that's the foundation of this league, I LOVE the rookie induction they made for players to make better decisions and chioces in their lives. I don't want any of them to go to jail. BUT It's Joe Blows in the Street that didn't get drafted becuz they went to a small school. So if TO goes to jail, I'll still breathe the same way, I'll still bleed the same way, I'll still eat the same way.

I don't care who it is if I think someone is getting unfair treatment then it's unfair. I don't give a fuck who it is becuz my life still goes on and if it was me, everyone else life would go on.
