Florida fans may finally get their man. Tim Tebow could soon be a part of our home team. Sources tell Action Sports, the Jaguars are making a play to trade for Tebow before the trade deadline this Thursday. The deadline was supposed to be [Tuesday]. It was pushed back a couple days because of Superstorm Sandy, which hit New York hard. It just so happens, that's where Tebow plays now for the Jets. Action Sports is working to confirm the possibility that Tebow could be headed home. We've called Jags owner Shad Khan, who said publicly that he would've drafted Tebow. Action Sports also put a call into Jags General Manager Gene Smith, who made a play for Tebow in the offseason.

Wish the Rams would get in on this, with their atrocious red zone woes.
Then again, they refuse to use Jackson in this capacity, so they'd probably waste Tebow as well. -
With the trade deadline looming, rumors of New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow changing teams continue swirling. But rumored trades shouldn't be confused with actual ones.
Citing a Jets source, NFL.com and NFL Network's Albert Breer reported early Wednesday that the Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars have not held any trade discussions involving Tebow.Comment

Well there goes Justin Blackmon's career.
The thing with Tebow is that it doesn't work like that and it certainly isn't that simple. Is Bradford established enough to keep the calls for Tebow under wraps? You guys certainly have the receiving corps for a Tebow type of player.Comment

He has proven to be more than capable as a backup who can step in, give a change of pace, and win some games. With that said, I think he'd be a disaster as a full time starter. Maybe 'disaster' is too strong, but to me he's not a starter.
Problem is, like ralaw alluded to, he is a distraction as a backup because media & wacky fans want him to start.Comment
