Christie "I dont get involved in Roger Goodell's business. The stadium is on private land, he can do what he wants. If it was public land and the area was hit as hard as other areas, I would step in."

Paraphrasing. He sounded like he wasnt thrilled about it but doesnt feel like tangling with the NFL right now. Passed the buck to Goodell.

i said in the other thread why no issue with this game, but issues with the marathon...i mean, both were scheduled for sunday and everyone is outraged the marathon is going to continue. but nobody cares the giants game will continue. just seems like one big media hypocrisy if i ever saw one. The marathon isnt televised nationally with big advertising dollars generated like the giants game has already sold. They move that game and they have to give back all that revenue they sold.

its nothing more than corporate greed at its finest. nobody cares about those people who are suffering. That fat bastard in NJ is using this to bolster his career in politics. Thats why he wont come out against the nfl because the heat he will take from the media whose networks dont want to lose money. our government and the the way our country is designed in todays america with its money first attitude makes me fucking sick.

The trains that bring over 10,000 people to the stadium likely won't be running.

If they do play at the Meadowlands, it's going to be in a half-full stadium at best.

NJ has bigger problems so I'm not against them playing in Pittsburgh.

BTW, the Steelers are flying in Sunday morning because no hotel space is available.

I remember reading your last part as an ESPN headline and wondering why that (an hour or so flight) was the focus over basically everything Warner already said. Then I remembered it was ESPN. Ah well, it's not like the NFL really gives a fuck, obviously, as I'd think at this point it would be impossible to move. Just going to be a tremendous waste of power.

IMO, all New York games should have been moved to the visitor site for a couple of weeks ... with the proviso, the games would be moved back to NY for the next matchup ... but clearly that's not gonna happen.

For the Nets (thursday) and Giants this week, sure. The Knicks though are fine, MSG wasn't hit by any electricity loss or other damage, trains and busses (for the most part) are working to some degree. And the Nets start their season later today and that's fine...again, MTA is running (for the most part, only a handful of lines are suspended).

Next week, Giants & Jets are on the road.....the week after the Jets are on the road while NYG have their bye so no more issues with the NFL aside from NYG/PIT.

Now just gotta get that fuel supply churning again...
