I've also heard talk of UNC going to the Big10 as well. Who would be the 2nd school in the pair would be the question. I've heard talk of Duke only because UNC always sees themselves as a package deal with Duke. UVA would be a logical choice for the Big10 and it definitely has the academic prestige.
1) Northeast: Syracuse and Boston College.
2) Southeast: Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina
3) Southwest: Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State.Comment

ESPN has told the ACC commish yesterday the conference should brace itself and have 4-6 replacement teams at the ready ASAP. In turn the ACC have begun talks with Louisville, USF, Georgetown and St. John's on coming to the ACC. Poor Providence is gonna be the only team left in the Big Least.
ACC commish made a visit to Blacksburg and Charlottesville today to make a last ditch effort at keeping the programs.
Apparently B1G has given UNC and UVA an invite, but UNC says it won't leave Duke behind. Boston College is now pleading its case to the B1G to drop UNC and include them with UVA. BC is arguing Rutgers covers the NY market even though its not actually located in NY in order to get around the border clause in B1G bylaws. If this doesn't work BC would have to convince the B1G to add Syracuse in order to join. If the B1G adds Syracuse, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the last slot was reserved for ND to round out the B1G at 18 teams.
FSU and Clemson are apparently in serious talks with the Big12.
VT and NC State are in serious talks with the SEC.
All 4 of these schools could announce their departure from the ACC by Christmas.
Crazy stuff going on in the ACC right now definitely something to keep your eye on in the next week.Comment

Edit: Also forgot to add all that info is from the same guy who broke the news about UMD departing for the B1G.Comment

Big 10 should dump the shit schools that bring nothing to the table. Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue. But that probably won't happen. Boston College and Virginia would probably be the best scenario for the Big 10. BC would be good for the hockey program, and get the New England Market.Comment

Genius idea. Drop three of the inaugural teams who also happen to be strong in other sports. They don't bring football to the table, but don't forget, aside from Wisconsin, Indiana had a chance to beat Michigan State (three touchdown lead), Ohio State (lost by three points, had a chance to take the lead in the 4th), Northwestern (down by a score with the ball in the 4th), Purdue (close in the 4th until they fucked up in the final minutes) and beat Illinois and Iowa. Indiana has a good recruiting class coming in and will be a legitimately good team in a few years. They snagged three four-star recruits and a bunch of three-stars. Purdue's going to a bowl game and has the same record as Michigan State. Minnesota sucks dick, but so does Illinois, who went 2-10 this season.

You're saying drops the schools who are good in other sports but shitty in football to add Boston College for hockey? Indiana has the #1 basketball team with Minnesota ranked #26 (top vote-getter), Indiana is one of the best track and soccer schools in the nation, Purdue and Indiana went 1-2 in baseball, and then nobody knows women's sports.

3 4* recruits might be a good recruiting class for Indiana but I'm literally laughing my fucking ass off at you thinking these guys are going to make you anywhere near relevant in the next 4 years. Maryland is able to pull in typically atleast 3-5 4* and a 5* or two every year in the fucking ACC.
Indiana will continue to be irrelevant in football for years to come. Close scores are close scores and nothing more the team still lost and the team still blows donkey dickComment

Kevin Wilson is a great recruiter as he proved at Oklahoma. He's doing the same at Indiana, and he's easily going to turn this program around.

The Big 10 conference has received applications for membership from UVA, UNC, and Georgia Tech while FSU, Clemson, UNC, NC State and Virginia Tech have contacted the SEC about potential membership. Despite public statements to the contrary the Big 12 conference has been in close contact with FSU, Clemson, Virginia Tech and Miami about joining the Big 12.Comment
