I understand that, Hasselbeck, and should have been clear about that. But, IMO, even ranking him as the 15th overall prospect seems kinda strange.

Eh I don't think so. If he came out last year he wouldn't be the top QB. He's more or less the top QB this year because outside of him and Barkley, the QB class is pretty damn weak.

15th overall in comparison to everyone else seems about right, but QB's and OT's will ALWAYS go high in the draft no matter what. Especially now with a rookie cap in place.

I think it's just ranking him in terms of talent when compared with the other players in the draft regardless of position.

I worry about what he's able to do outside of Holgerson's system without guys like Tavon Austin helping him out at times and I still think he's a little slight for the position which could lead to injury down the road.

That said, he's the clear-cut #1 QB in the draft right now as far as I'm concerned.
he went for 3000+, 24 TDs and 7 INTs as a true sophomore in Jeff Mullen's terrible ass offense...

I think when people see "air raid" they're immediately turned off. I guess the big question would be how he is at breaking down defenses and making his progressions? Not a huge Geno Smith fan but it seems to me like he can get a bit rattled at times, I'm sure Atlas would be able to delve into it better than I can.

he will be a fine NFL QB, nothing close to RG3 or Luck, but more along the lines of a Tannehill or Ponder (albeit slightly better)... he can make all the throws, he doesn't force balls (like Barkley does) and I saw some stat where 9 or 10 of his career INTs came off of balls his WR's should have caught (I can think of 8 for sure off the top of my head)... i mean he was an elite 11 QB (back when it was only 11 actual QBs), 5 stat recruit out of a powerhouse FL program and he did impress a lot of people at the Manning Academy this past summer, so let's not downplay all that b/c of Holgs' system, as he would thrive in any system...

huh? Cam Newton id easily read as a nervous fake kid who cant talk his way out of a paper bag. They must have lower English standards in Canada for you to think the kid is remotely literate in his speech.

better question is why this stud isn't getting more love for easily the best all around performance in a long time (10+ years):

If you look at it, outside of Kansas State that we saw break down this past weekend, who has a good defense in the Big 12? Not being a smartass, I am just wondering.

You can't bring up that LSU game like he played well though. He completed less than 50% of his passes for under 120 yards and wasn't much better last year in Morgantown, he just threw the ball a lot more.

He's been pretty average the past few weeks too.

I still think he's the top QB off the board come April but if he were in last year's class he's sandwiched between the top two guys and Tannehill IMO.
