I was simply saying I see him as more of a mid 1st prospect based on his skill set but he'll probably get pushed to the top of the draft because of all the QB needs that the teams in line for that pick have.

I think as a pro his career will probably resemble Sam Bradford more than any QB taken in last year's draft.

And FWIW if RGIII doesn't measure a legitimate 6'3" last year I don't think he would have gone as high either. It's really hard to start slotting guys until the first week of Senior Bowl practices are done IMO.

Fair. I don't think any of this is unreasonable, but Luck and RGIII were two of the more coveted QB prospects in recent memory. It's not a "knock" to say Geno would have been the 3rd QB off the board last year (I think that may have been Tyler Wilson too, but now he's fucked).

1) Cam has shown no on field improvement. He's actually regressed!
2) Terrible leader on and off the field. During games, once the Panthers get behind, it's like Cam simply gives up and mails the rest of the game in. Off the field, it's everyone's fault but his. He's not a leader plain and simple.
3) Extremely low IQ is obvious. I don't think I need to explain that.

After almost two full years of Cam Newton, I don't see anything for Panther fans to be excited about. It doesn't look like he has the work ethic or intelligence to harness his raw ability. Newton clearly isn't the answer, and after two years he has the Panthers right back where they were before they drafted him; fighting for the first overall pick in the draft. Panthers need to move on, so that in a couple of years we can all laugh at Newton being broke too.

I watch all of every single game, he needs improvement, CLEARLY, but don't be ignorant and say he is Jamarcus Russell, his rookie season alone was better than Russell's entire career. He's not stupid, questioning his IQ is the typical black QB must be dumb because he doesn't read coverages like Peyton Manning. Name som QB's that haven't regressed a bit in their second year, especially dual threat guys. The offensive playcalling is read option, read option, 3rd and 8 let's call a vanilla play. Cam will be just fine, he is not elite, but he's nowhere near a bust after 1 1/2 seasons GTFO.

Of course people are overreacting, and they only see the negative news, Carolina is small market for NFL Football, the ONLY headlines cam makes is for poor games or demeanor, even breaking records last season it was barely talked about. He still has a long way to go, but people CLEARLY have not seen Cam and Jamarcus play, Russell was dog shit, from day one everybody knew it, you could tell by watching him, Cam studies hard, works hard, and wants to be better, and he puts too much pressure on himself, 8-10 in games they lead in the 4th quarter. Cam "blew" 3 of those, and even in those 3 games he made mistakes but the defense collapsed costing them the game, but we will still put the blame ALL on Cam because he is an over hyped black QB, nothing more, that's what people think.
