So lets talk about that 4th and 31 that the Ravens made...

All things considered, that Rice catch and run to convert 4th and 29 was probably the biggest play in Ravens recent history. With games coming up against Pitt, @Wash, Denver, NYG, and @Cin, they could absolutely not afford to lose this game and still expect to get a bye. They now not only keep pace with the other AFC division leaders but they've opened a three game lead on the Steelers with five to play, and seems unlikely that they'll be caught at this point, especially given the Steelers increasing injuries.

Also, the Chargers can be grouped with the Cowboys as the biggest chokers/underachievers in the league. But I don't put a ton of blame on Norv for today. Norv wasn't calling the defense that dropped 7 guys 40 yards downfield and letting Rice get a head of steam, then missing multiple tackles to allow him to convert. Chargers had no business losing that game at that point and the Ravens had no business winning it. Still can't believe it...

So much for the packers looking like the best team in the NFC. Every top NFC team has now been slapped around at least once.

Very odd year in the NFC. And just like last year the team that will be the #1 seed will most likely be one and done.

This is not an excuse for losing vs Giants. They whooped our asses and were obviously the better team tonight.

                      With that said:

                      Brian Bulaga
                      Derrick Sherrod
                      Greg Jennings
                      Donald Driver
                      Cedric Benson
                      Charles Woodson
                      Sam Shields
                      Clay Matthews
                      DJ Smith
                      Desmond Bishop
                      Nick Perry
                      Erik Walden

Packers starters that did not play due to injury vs. Giants

Also lost C.J. Wilson and M.D. Jennings in tonight's game. Please just get a couple more wins and then forfeit the rest of the games just so there are guys able to suit up in the playoffs.

I didn't realize that the Packers were the only team with important injuries (also, how many of those were important a week ago when the Pack were the favorite to win the NFC?)

Please give me a team that can even compare to massive amount of important injuries the Packers have. The injuries have been a problem for several weeks. Packers looked terrible against the Lions. I haven't heard the Packers being the favorite since very early in the season btw.

Well, you haven't been on this site then. Most were calling them the team to beat in the NFC, and even ESPN going into this game described the Packers as "Hot" and the Giants as "Not". I am not here to argue which team has the injury bug worse, I never said that. I just was curious what injuries on the "Hot" Packers came about in the last week. You know, to make them so susceptible to being whipped by the swooning Giants.

If you haven't heard about the Pack being favorites, I don't know what to tell you.

Go look at the thread. Only people that picked the Pack as the favorites were Packers fans and they still were behind the 49ers, Bears, and Giants in voting by a wide margin. And since when does Hot vs Not = Favorite to win the NFC? Again, injuries have been a big issue for weeks. Luckily for us, we were able to face some weaker competition.

LOL at commenting on the important injuries and then completely backing off.

EDIT: Falcons had triple the votes also.

I'm not backing off, but you're acting like the "important injuries" weren't there going into this week. I figured that was a moot point.

I don't believe that the Giants are "stiff" competition, because I think pretty much all of the NFL stinks. You are the one that seems to think that injuries are the reason the Pack lost to the Giants (otherwise, why would you bring it up, despite the "this isn't why 'we' lost" routine). I think that despite you rattling off a bunch of injured dudes names, it doesn't really matter. A lot of teams have important injuries. Doing a comparison is stupid in today's NFL, because the backup RB in today's game could be the next Adrian Peterson.
