cool story bro, blaming the Lions coach is wrong? So he didnt throw the flag? and throwing the flag is not against the rules? so Detroit was clearly screwed?

schwartz did screw the lions by throwing the flag...but that doesnt change the fact the rule is retarded beyond belief.

i like the auto reviews, i just hate how it interferes with the game flow. just have a ref in the booth review it. there is no need to have the on field official watch the video...some are so obvious but they still take so long to make the call.

I watched that play over ten times, I still dont see who was offsides, and the flag came out 3-4 seconds after the ball was snapped.

it's a bad rule but if the Refs really didn't see his knee go down it would be better that they let the play continue. Had he not been down and they stopped the play...they couldn't give Houston the TD. Instead they gave Houston the TD, which they could bring the ball back once the automatic review showed them what really happened.

Who watched the Falcons this past week? Somebody told me Mike Smith threw the challenge flag on a play where his own player scored, and ate the 15 yard penalty in exchange for not having the play reviewed.

            Did that really happen?

Detroit looked like shit offensively in the second half. Schwartz was at fault for throwing the flag, but come on, man, there is no way the whistle shouldn't have been blown there. One thing I'm happy about is that at least it was an exciting game. I've been through enough Lions Thanksgivings to be thankful for that.

I know he tried to challenge an Atlanta turnover before the replay booth could called for a replay.

Homer being homer. Keep supporting the retard you have coaching your team.

This scenario has happened multiple times this season btw....not sure who hasn't seen this before.

He's right. The coach screwed his own team over. He knows the rules and shouldn't have challenged the play. Coach Jim F'd up big. It's a rule, and we have to live with it until the rule gets changed. It's a stupid rule. A very stupid rule. It needs to be changed before the start of next season. But Coach Schwantz F'd up.

You blamed the rule more so. Glad you think you're own coach should be fired though. I agree

I said he was at fault, but the whistle should've been blown. I understand reading isn't your strong suit, so maybe you should just stop doing it. I'm sure you'll respond to this with more faggotry about something I didn't say, but that's your deal, so go for it.

We got hosed on quite a few calls in the game today, not just this one.

                            Cam Newton sucks too bitch.

Ohhhhh.... no bad calls towards the Texans or any other teams in the NFL tho amirite? This thread is about this retarded cunt saying the Lions got screwed over on that play, your coach screwed you over, not the refs. He knows the rules, people can say the rule is dumb all you want, still have to abide by them.

Only way I see that the refs actually screwed the Lions would be if someone could prove the Texans wouldn't have scored in the next play/possession....of course we can't. But we can prove that the game would have been over had the Lions kicker made the FG. I'm sure there will be enough outcry that the NFL will have to look at changing the rule. Think they should just give a 15 yard penalty but still review the play.
