Great awareness by Forsett, dumb move by Jim Schwartz. Texans touchdown!

Cry about it. Not only did we get screwed by shitty rules vs the Saints week 7 but the ruling was wrong as well simply because Josh wasnt out of the pocket, should have been illegal contact. Besides that, fuck Detroit. Remember in 2010 when we missed the playoffs by 1 game. Kellen Winslow got hit with a phantom OPI that took at TD off the board that would have won us the game vs Det. We ended up getting a letter of apology from the league and Detroit fans gave less than a shit about being fair and just then. Everyone gets dealt bad cards and nobody gives a fuck until it happens to them.

You're missing the point of the thread, it wasn't even made by a Lions fan. It was made to discuss a shitty rule that needs to be changed.

Not disputing that but my comment was directed towards the brotroit crew, most of whom have been douche bags when the shoe has been on the other persons foot in the past.

i would love to know what the NFL mindset was when they included this rule. ok guise, lets give them a penalty for throwing the red flag on a play thats auto reviewed...but on top of that, lets not review the play.

not reviewing the play is ridiculous and i would like to know why that rule was added

This rule sucks, and it bit the Falcons in the ass last week. Me and my buddy who came over to watch the game spent about 20 minutes bitching about how dumb and illogical the enforcement of that "penalty" is.

Anyway, glad it happened in a game that a lot of people were watching so now everyone knows how dumb that rule is.

I understand the Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty, but to then cancel the fucking penalty? How dumb can you possibly be?

"Well, since you think the ref's horribly blew that call, we'll just not challenge it. How's that for fair?"

Great awareness? He admitted that he had no idea until after the play that his fucking knee and elbow hit the ground.

                        He lucked out big time.

This rule fucking sucks, and it definitely bit the Lions in the ass. With that said I'd like to add that I'm really glad the Lions are actually a solid team to watch, been many Thanksgivings where you sit there and are like

                              Same scenario.

Kubiak throws the challenge flag for the Texans on that play first. The play is now un-reviewable and the TD stands, touchdown Texans, but they are enforced a 15 yard penalty on the kickoff.

What coach isn't taking 15 yards for 7 points? Would love to see a coach like Belichick or Coughlin do this in a big game and expose the NFL for one of the stupidest rules of all time. STOP TRYING TO OUTSMART YOURSELF.

Rule doesnt quite work like that. It simply punishes those that dont understand the rules. If Kubiak threw it, it would still be reviewable in the Lions favor.
