I still don't think Reid is the problem, the players don't believe because they caught "Cowboy Syndrome" It's when the majority of the "leaders" on your team were overpaid and overvalued by the GM/Owner and they know the team is financially commited, so roll over on coach and he will go. Nobody complained about Reid's playcalling with Westbrook in the backfield all those years and the Eagles have been extremely successful in his tenure, I think people are seriously undervaluing the importance of offensive line talent and continuity.

How soon they forget. There was certainly complaints about Reids playcalling during the Westbrook/McNabb era. Only difference between now and then is he leaned on his stud RB to make plays back then. McCoy can be used as the same type of back but Reid simply isnt doing so. He was utilized last season like he should have been. I loved those sprint draws and stretches they ran, Vick was able to move the pocket and Maclin/Jackson was able to make plays down field. May be the Oline issues but the Eagles sure are a mess.

I think the big problem was giving a 29 year old corner $25 million in guaranteed money. Once corners hit 30, most of them begin losing some of their speed, and for a man coverage corner like Asomugha, that's a bad sign. Most corners now become slot guys or start the move to safety at 31, but because of the investment in Asomugha, they are still asking him to do more, and I don't think he's a #1 anymore with the decline in athleticism.

Thanks for sweeping Asomugha away from us, Philly. Sounds like you saved the Cowboys and their fans some money and heartache.

True, plus it freed up all that money for the Cowboys to give to Brandon Carr.

The Eagles biggest problem is when Jim Johnson left. Andy has not found a defensive coordinator since then that has come even close to what he was and it brings out all of his flaws. He used to be able to not worry about anything on that side of the ball, let Jim do his thing and Reid could put all of his energy into that offense.

First was moving Castillo away from a perfectly good spot where he could coach and make an impact. Second, why scapegoat Castillo when the defense wasn't doing that badly when he was let go? I feel so sorry for you Eagle fans if Andy Reid is retained beyond this season, and that's coming from a Redskins fan.

Cowboys were desperate for a CB but Carr is more versatile and more consistent than AShumongroid.

That defense has no balls and is devoid of depth. Those Jim Johnson defenses were scary as shit because they would still be throwing blitzes with fresh guys in the 4th. There wasnt alot of dropoff when guys rotated in and out. Reids playcalling has always been mediocre. He maximized the fact that he had a QB and HB who were multi threats. He "thought" he could do the same with Vick . Even though neither QB could read you the ingredients off a corn flakes box McNabbs football IQ was pretty good. Vick is just a clueless hack on a third of the snaps.

                          Carr > Newman
