And I don't know what the real issue was but not a lot of kids come out of the LA City Leagues, especially at a big school like University, running in the 4.4s and don't wind up at one of the locals or another top-tier program.Comment

Look where Schwartz came from, that Jeff Fisher/Gregg Williams coaching tree isn't exactly known for being great molders of men or for running classy organizations.
These coaches have always employed dumbfuck/classless/retarded/dirty players like Young, Suh, Cortland Finnegan, Albert Haynesworth, Vilma, Jo Lon Dunbar, Anthony Hargrove, etc etc, and it's now widely known that Williams was running his bounty systems under Fisher years before he did so in New Orleans.
People will do as their leaders do. Schwartz has no control, so players like Young & Suh do what they want.Comment

I'm not so sure Suh is "doing what he wants". I'm quite certain knowing that Schwartz was the man behind Haynesworth, with the infamous head stomping incident, that Suh has been cast in that same mold. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember the dude being dirty at Nebraska. As for Young, his is simply a case of many others in the league, 10 cent head, million dollar talent.Comment

I'm pretty sure they realized he was doing it on purpose since they are 'moving on'. If he flat out didn't know the plays, he'd get benched and they'd work with him to figure them out. Sabotage is the only reason they'd 'cut ties' with him.Comment

OK, but until I hear some sort of reasoning as to why he would want to sabotage the team, I'll give him a pass on this one.Comment

Titus Young, the Lions’ troubled young wide receiver, is being sent home for the week.
Lions coach Jim Schwartz said today that Young was told to go home when he showed up at the facility today, and he will be inactive for the Thanksgiving game against the Texans. Schwartz said he doesn’t expect Young to participate in practice this week.
Schwartz also said Young has been putting himself above the team, and Schwartz wants Young to know that’s not going to be tolerated.Young is still only 23 years old, but he has a history of behavior problems dating back to a 2008 suspension while a sophomore at Boise State.Comment

I know. I was just making fun of the Lions being equivalent to an 8th grade coaching staff.Comment
