Jay Glazer is reporting that a Chiefs player murdered his girlfriend and then went to the Chiefs facility and shot himself. They aren't releasing a name yet pending notification of next of kin.

DEVELOPING: Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs, was placed on lockdown early Saturday morning after local reports of two shootings at the stadium.

KMBC.com reported that a woman was shot and listed in critical condition at about 8 a.m. local time. There was another report of a related shooting, the report said.

Twitter is saying that the player was Jovan Belcher. Reportedly, he shot his girlfriend, went to the team facility, got into an argument with a coach, and then shot himself. All these details are rumors as of now, but this is absolutely terrible news. It's hard to even react to something as horrific as this.

All the rumors are saying it's starting LB Jovan Belcher. He shot his gf at home and then drove down to the facility and argued with the coaches and then pulled out a gun and shot himself in front of them.

Belcher committed murder at 5400 block of Crisler then drove to Arrowhead complex and shot himself in parking lot. Coaches tres to stop him.

Random and very unrelated to the current topic: I had never heard of this guy until Madden last year when I signed him as a FA in 220 league. Real solid player and actually started to follow him a little this year.
