Probably a troll, but even tested during pregnancy, would that end up public info? I'm not sure the public would have heard about this. The info was unreliable and did and does sound troll worthy. The timing sounds off too which would lean towards troll.

No, but Javon would have known since she would have been put on drugs to make sure the virus wasn't passed to their unborn child. Weak troll attempt on ESPN. They need to learn to VSN.

Sigh, VSN. I just never know what to say anymore on here. So my apologies if the following is forward; and I will go ahead and brace for the apathetic response that this VSN has come to welcome.

This is a tragedy, and not just because it's a famous person, it's a tragedy because the topic is about a death. Instead of hoping for peace, it becomes an opportunity to showcase pride of ourselves. RIP to Javon Belcher and Kasandra Perkins. I really hope they are at peace now. I hope the family is able to move on and the little one is taken care of.

My biggest hope is that those of you on here that have posted, I hope you come to peace in your day to day life as well. I hope when the shit really hits the fan in your lives, which it will, that you find solace that brings you to your knees instead of escaping reality. Because one little prideful act, continues on into another one - and another - and it's a downward spiral. Every second of this life, is another chance to turn it around. It's inevitable, and I do not wish it on any of VSN. It's a message I just felt I needed to share.

I expect responses of memes followed by insults, apathetic responses, etc - that's fine - it just proves who's truly gone down that spiral; and all I will do is hope you find that solace in your life.

For the post part I feel the same way.

However, I was pretty deeply affected when Darrent Williams got shot because I had "met" him after game in San Diego a couple of times and he just was always the happiest guy out of the locker room on the way to the bus. He would always sign autographs for the Broncos fans that stuck around Qualcomm until Champ Bailey had to literally come out and remove him physically. The second to last time he went inside the bus and came out and gave us all a curtain call after a big win over the Chargers to close out the season that sent the Broncos into the playoffs as the #2 overall seed. Of course we all went apeshit..

When I heard he had been killed over NYE just one year and a day after that great moment my heart sank and TBH every time I think about it I still get upset because Williams wasn't even the intended target.

No one is disagreeing about the family moving on and the child hopefully having a good life. However Belcher went the lowest a person can go and does not deserve sympathy or "peace". It has nothing to do with us finding peace. What happened to Belcher is not a tragedy, what happened to his girlfriend and their child is.

Your third paragraph also does not really make any sense in the context of this topic. Pride has nothing to do with us calling Belcher a piece of shit for killing his girlfriend.

I was talking with my stepmother about this yesterday, and her and I both agreed that this was the best way for things to end after Belcher shot his girlfriend.

Sure, it might seem callous, but she works for the DOJ and worked the streets as a cop as well as in prison, so she understands what goes on there and the legal system. The fact that there isn't a long trial to drag things out is a plus, and it keeps the family isolated and not having to relieve this moment every day in court.

The family also isn't going to have a "Rae Carruth" moment, when Belcher is eligible to come out of prison and then wants custody of his child, or something along those lines.

I feel for all those involved, especially those who witnessed it, because it will stick with them for their entire lives. I am also just shocked that the NFL is letting the Chiefs play today. Unbelievable.

The chiefs went to the NFL and told them they wanted to play.
