Anonymous Broncos rip Tim Tebow: ‘He’s not an NFL quarterback’

When Tim was here we saw the issues up close,” an unidentified Denver player reportedly said. “The Jets didn’t, and now they are seeing the problems, too. I feel really, really bad for Tim. He’s a good person, just not an NFL quarterback.

Of course we’re comparing this year to last year,” another anonymous player said. “This year we won the division with four games left. That’s all Peyton Manning. If Tebow was here, we’d still be squeaking out wins, or losing games we shouldn’t be losing. The division would be coming down to the last game.

I’ve been following Tim in New York and I feel horrible for him. Everyone here, I think, wants the best for him. He’s a good guy. But you can’t turn Tim into something he’s not, and he’s not really an NFL quarterback. He’s more of a gimmick player.
Apparently this is what Tim Tebow gets for minding his own business. The New York Jets backup quarterback has done and said all the right things this

So what were the issues? Don't throw something out there like that, if there was something going on behind the scenes, let people know. Don't just say some closeted statement.

For the Jets at this point, just give the guy a shot if he's healthy. You're never going to move on from the attention Tebow gets unless you start him and let things play out.

Right, but even fans like us saw it. I thought he would be referring to something else.

Tebow was a lot better than Orton. They didn't have Manning last year to do that with. These players are fucking stupid. Manning is a better QB. But to say Tebow is not a QB is stupid. Yes, he is a bad thrower, but he is a good runner. And he is a leader. Is that not what a QB is supposed to do?

I looked on Denver's roster and couldn't find "Unidentified" listed there so I'm not sure who is giving all of these interviews. I thought he played for the Jets but I digress. For all of his warts, Tebow had a winning record as starter for the Broncos and led them to their first division title and playoff win since 2005. I don't think anybody believes he is the next Joe Montana but the kid is a natural born leader and is a heck of a football player, he just needs to be schemed for properly.

You can't fault the Broncos for reaching for Peyton Manning over Tebow but I lay 100% of the fault at the feet of the Jets organization for trading for him and then not utilizing him at all while watching Sanchez throw the ball around like a person with cerebral palsy.

It's funny because it is true...lol I mean how hard would it be for the Jets to put in an offensive scheme like the Redskins did for RGIII? That short shotgun formation with lots of motion and a QB that can run the ball WELL tears defenses apart. You can't convince me that Tebow wouldn't have success in a similar scheme. Of course RGIII can throw the ball better downfield but Tebow is a great runner and where he loses to RGIII on speed I think he has more physicality.

Id rather have a QB who can throw and be a good leader, not a QB who can run and be a good leader. Bad thrower and Quarterback doesn't go together when it comes to being succesful long term in the NFL.

So because one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time clinched the division faster than Tebow... Tebow is not an NFL QB.

Strong logic random player. Go ram your head into other people some more.

How is that working for the Jets?

I didn't know the Jets had a good QB in the first place. You know something I don't?
