Adrian Peterson is a goddamn monster. I think I remember seeing that he's averaging over 5 yards a carry when the other team loads the box.

He went 2nd round 19th overall in the VSN keeper league to me.

As frustrating as Ponder is to watch I think he'll get better. Harvin is clearly their best receiver but too fragile to be used in the ways they've been using him. Rudolph has shown signs of being a stud but other games Ponder doesn't even look for him. If they can bring in another receiver Ponder can work with that can help spread the defense out a little it will help AP out even more. All I know is Ponder needs to figure it out soon, AP is a beast but we don't know how many more years he can keep this up. Teams are already stacking the box on him and Ponder is still not doing shit in the passing game. If this team gets a lead they have the best guy in the league to close it out, if they get behind and rely on Ponder right now it gets ugly.

He made the Packers look like fucking 5th graders.

Give him the award so the Packers D doesn't look as bad.

Whats amazing me is that he looks a half step slower than Ive seen before. He's just running with full confidence and killing defenses. Simply a rarity in the league to see a RB doing this now so Ill easily vote for him as MVP. ((if they give me one of those ballot thingies))
Best reason to have a license.

              I said the same thing.

This dude runs like Walter Payton, Never die easy. You see this man's head bobbing when he's sprinting and you can just tell this man will not go down without a fight. Johnson was a bad man that year, no denying that, but his thing was always the speed, all he needed was a little daylight and his speed would take care of the rest. He's lost a little bit of a step and even though he's not having a bad season by any means this year, this is not the same CJ2K from a couple of years ago.

AP has clearly lost a step with his flat out speed but his game hasn't suffered at all.

AP is a BAD BAD MAN.

I think he could push Manning for CPOY, especially if he ends up over 1900 yards or over 2000, and I'm routing for him to get there. It would be great to see in this era of the passing attack.

I also think that what Logan Mankins has done is also on par with AP. Here's a guy who played the entire 2011 season with a torn ACL and didn't know it, who also hurt the supporting ligaments in the same knee in the post-season, and came back at the start of the season and also hasn't missed a beat. In the same way AP might be overlooked for the CPOY award to Manning, Mankins is also being overshadowed by these two, and it's almost a non-story.

I didn't even hear about that until now. That's insane. This is a story that should've been everywhere.

Agree completely with this. Nothing negative can be said about the season Manning is having, but the season Peterson is having is, frankly, historic. Manning's supporting cast is better than Peterson's ... and Peterson might crack 2,000 yards rushing after an injury that he shouldn't even have played on until week 8 this season.

Hell, Chris Johnson is healthy and can't even be what he used to be.

No, AP's the best back in the league right now. You guys are bringing up CJ2K for no reason and it always happens when there's an AP thread made. It's an argument that has been rehashed countless times and is always brought up by you or ThunderHorse. We're not going to change our stances, so stop being a troll about it and talk about the thread topic instead of someone you guys are apparently more obsessed with.

AP coming back from a total ACL tear in under a year is absolutely ridiculous let alone for him to be this effective on an offense where he's the #1, #2 and #3 weapons.

I say give him every award. Defensive POTY, ROTY, hell throw coach of the year in there, too. Nothing anyone else has done is as impressive.

All anyone is doing is simply noting that Peterson is the best back in the league right now, has been the best back in the league for a while, and could be one of the best backs to ever play the game.

Comparing Peterson to a guy who some people thought could be the next GOAT in Johnson, for me personally, shows how great Peterson really is. Because imo Peterson has no real peer, there are few to none runningbacks in this league who are as outright physically talented as Peterson, and fewer who run as hard as he does. And even now after such a potentially damning injury, which will take some natural physical abilities away (as we've seen with Peterson this year. He's not as fast as he used to be) he's really the only runningback playing at a truly elite level right now.
