Houston Texans are getting clowned by the Patriots

even Parcells said in effect that away night games are a pain and no one likes them.

Maybe Houston isnt ready for the big time yet ?

Maybe the Ravens and Bengals can breath a little easier come playoff time ?

Houston isn't even the second best team in that conference - Denver is.

Whenever they face primetime pressure, the Texans fail.

It's not how you play at 1 p.m., it's how you play in primetime.

Injuries are catching up to them. They've lost their entire LB corps except for Barwin from last years team. Letting Mario Williams and Demeco Ryans hurts more now since Cushing and Reed are out.

They couldn't do anything on offense, either, though. Terrible playcalling from the get go, constantly trying to run behind the left side of the line is way too predictable, the Patriots were stacking or just sending everyone when Foster was in because they knew what was coming. When they did pass, Schaub was off, receivers dropped some catchable balls, etc.

They are a good team but not having a #2 WR and all the injuries will be their downfall.

For all the good that only losing two games has done you have to have doubts at this stage. To get hammered by a pretty mediocre Green Bay at home and to lose so convincingly in a game which they have no doubt been anticipating for 4 or 5 weeks ... it doesn't really indicate that Houston is well-prepared for intense post-season games.

Most playoff games are ether 1 or 4 o clock games.

Average team at best, never understood the hype.

I don't think they're average ... but they're clearly not ready for primetime.
                Same as Atlanta.
A 3-9 team calls you out, you kick their ass. Instead, Carolina proves what many already suspected - you ain't ready for primetime.

I'd hardly call a division game in a division which has already been decided to be "primetime," but ok.

I respect that you're a Falcons' fan NAHSTE, seriously, but your team got called out and tanked.

It was just a bad spot for Atlanta; coming on the heels of two consecutive close divisional games which they won, and it's close to meaningless in terms of the standings. You cannot relate the Falcons losing to the Panthers to the Texans getting walloped tonight; you could at least wait until they lose on Sunday in their only "prime time" game of the season before making that assertion.

I really don't care that they lost that game, I don't think any Falcons fan should care, honestly. It's a division game, in which the division is already decided, and the Falcons still have a pretty decided edge in the race for the #1 NFC seed. They lost a meaningless game when they had nothing to play for, not indicative of anything significant.

lol. Failing to come from behind (why does every game require some late game comeback?), vs inferior opposition is not significant? Surely they'd love to try and win the NFC HFA vs tougher teams like NYG or TB than vs Carolina?

Being on the right side of alot of close games says they have been lucky more than dominant. They've got 2 score wins over PHI/KC/SD...everything else was a nailbiter. They are good on offence, not great. Give up lots of yards but generate a decent amount of turnovers to cover that up.

Nothing is exceptional about the Atlanta Falcons and nothing suggests they are a championship team. Merely a good team trying to pretend they are amongst the elite thanks to some heroic comeback wins vs scrubs. This does not win you playoff games against elite teams.

They have alot to prove vs New York this week. If this team is a Super Bowl contender, they win this game easily.
