Why is Josh Brent on the sidelines?

Sorry if it's been posted don't see on tapa talk.

But Wtf are the Cowboys thinking letting him wander on the sidelines?.. I get the whole victims mom wants team to support him. But I don't think that encompasses sideline jaunts and chit chat.
    I'm really disturbed by it.
Best reason to have a license.

It's weird and I personally don't think he should be there, but I suppose it's non of our business and it's up to the team.

I agree. The NFL will suspend a player for what they call a dirty hit but does nothing to a guy who kills a teammate. Just doesn't seem right

Agree 100%. He shouldn't be there or anywhere near the stadium.

If the team wants him there, then I can't say anything. Weird yeah, but it seems the team has taken a different approach to it then all of us.

Personally I would have put him in a private box if anything at all. It just looks tacky at best and heartless at worst, even with Jerry Brown's family's blessing.

That being said, a rapist was playing QB for the other team, so at the end of the day, I don't really care.

why shouldnt he be on the sidelines? he is a member of their team. he made a horrible mistake and lost his best friend. Why shouldnt dallas stand by their teammate?

Srs? Because the NFL doesn't give a shit about DUIs, even if they result in death.

It's a fucked up situation that I'm not sure there's a right answer for. I don't know how I would handle it because I have no clue how I'd feel. I hear about how this guy begged people to go into his home and take all of his guns out of the house because he was afraid to be alone in there. It's just sad for everybody.

Question: I am not for a second condoning what Josh Brent did here, not for a second.
But how many times have you gotten in a car with a friend who's been drinking ... and you know full well they've been drinking?

IMO, every player on that team knew their teammate got in that car knowing full well that Brent was way over the limit. That doesn't defend Brent's actions, hell even he doesn't care if they throw the book at him ... but, another question:

If you hopped in the car with your best friend and he got you killed (and you knew full well he was driving drunk), how would you want his future to go?

Again, it's a tough one. I am not for a second defending what Brent did ... but the human reaction around it is understandable.

People are actually dumb enough to get into a car with someone who is drunk. God damn you people are retarded.

I have. Not gonna deny it. I may be retarded though, so you may have a point.

really man. this whole i never drink and drive is absolute BS. Lets see how many cabs out there in places not named NYC. I just went downtown last night, i was DD this time, bars and clubs everywhere and maybe 4-5 cabs.

Now there is a difference between driving legally drunk and driving drunk as a skunk. Now driving dunk as a skunk is horrible and something i never do anymore, driving legally drunk is something that happens quite a bit Im assuming. I should buy a breathalyzer to check it out.
