As just a QB, I don't think many teams with an established starter would want to use a roster spot on Tebow.

I think the best place for Tebow is a team with an established QB. Because then nobody has to deal with the "should he start" nonsense, because he shouldn't be starting.

The only team in the league that should give him a go as a starter is Jacksonville, and that's for off the field reasons just as much if not more as on the field. Otherwise, the best place for Tebow is as a weapon on a team with a star QB.

No he doesn't know how to play QB. He's got shit mechanics and is highly inaccurate. He doesn't even pass well enough to tell if he can or can't read a defense. And how can he know how to be QB but not be good enough to be a long term starter? Your point makes no sense.

Because there is a difference between not knowing how to play, and playing badly.

Tebow is not a guy who's lost when he's on the field. He just doesn't make good throws. He understands his role and he makes good decisions when he's running the spread. He knows how to play.

Again, if you are putting Tim Tebow in a position to do things he isn't good at, that's on the coaching staff, not the player.

I think he knows how to play QB one way.. Bucky is right about him getting flustered during dropbacks or when he HAS to make a pass over 15 yards.

However that's also why I think Warner is right about using him inside the 10. Tebow is deadly against man near the GL because the defense is forced to assign someone to him in case he takes off.. if they don't and he takes off forcing someone to leave their assignment he's got an easy dump TD. That doesn't work with him at FB or TE since those positions have defnesive assignments drawn up in man already and like I said before he isn't experienced enough at either position to innovate the way he does at QB.

Put him at shotgun with a back next to him on first and goal and tell him if its a pass and his first read isn't there to either tuck and run or throw it OOB, or let him use the read option and open up space for your back.

Best case scenario you score a TD, worst case scenario its second and goal.

OK, but I still say Tebow should be the third string QB. I don't want Tebow coming in if my starter goes down. That's why I would want Tebow to be much more than a specialty situation QB to justify a roster spot. Active QB's, Starter, Normal Backup, Tebow contributing from other positions and at Specialty QB. Inactive, practice squad project.

I just don't want to count on Tebow as a starter or a backup. If I have a young starter, I want a vet backup. If I have a vet starter, I want a young backup that has potential. I don't want Tebow taking either one of those spots. Let him take up a different roster spot.
