They should only run the ball more if Ballard is back there. I hate to wish injury upon anyone, but I was ecstatic to hear Donald Brown is out for the season. They just need to let Ballard learn to pass block better and I think he should be the full time starter. Melwelde Moore needs to go back to the couch.
I don't have the same views on Arians as you, I think he is doing just fine. The Texans game was really a matter of J.J. Watt getting to do whatever whenever he wanted all game long. The offensive line needs improvement the most. Luck having to scramble for his life every single play isn't good.
Next Sunday's game is supposedly Arians' last game as HC anyways, Pagano is supposed to come back
-I don't see how you can acknowledge that Luck has to scramble for his life every down then say you have no issue with Arians. Again if your QB has to constantly run for his life, why are you running an offense that's designed to go deep all the time. Those routes take time to develop and Luck doesn't have that time.
-Pagano is already cleared to come back and will start coaching again Monday. We'll see in week 17 and (hopefully) the wildcard round if the Colts offense changes any.

Colts offense is at it's best when their backs are against the wall and Luck is put in a position where he's forced to improvised and the structured playcalling goes out the window. Like the last drive in the Lions game.Comment

Brown was having a pretty good season and I liked what he was doing. He looked like he was finally shaping into a decent back that could really contribute for us. I think this coaching staff has done a better job with Brown and getting him outside of the tackles on his runs. He's got really good long speed, there's not many guys who can catch him if he finds a seam, and he's great at exploding through the hole when nobody touches him.
The only issue with Brown is he's weak, he's little, and all it takes is an arm tackle to put him on the ground. So with our offensive line, he can't really do much.
I don't particularly like Arians playcalling either, he's clearly one to bring out the gun show. We've got these two tightends, one of which is looking like he's going to be a real good player (Allen), and we run nothing underneath, it seems like anytime we try to run something underneat it's just a WR screen. and those miss more than they hit.
I'm hoping that some of the playcalling issues have been the result of Arians trying to pull double duty this year, and that maybe next year we'll see a more balanced and grounded offensive attack. But from the man's history I know it's probably wishful thinking.
Mwelde Moore can die in a fire btw. (I don't really mean that)
I do mean thatComment

Good God PLEASE don't promote Christensen AGAIN!
Hopefully Indy goes out there and grabs a guy who knows his shit and will make better use of these two TE's. I would have loved Norv Turner but it looks like he's headed to Cleveland. The rumours are Luck's old offensive coordinator at Stanford is being looked at. I don't know how I feel about this, I'd rather we get a proven NFL guy who's shown he can prepare guys to compete at this level.Comment
