    Richard Sherman Wins PED Appeal

    Rotoworld

Seahawks CB Richard Sherman tweeted Thursday that he won an appeal of his four-game suspension.

Sherman, who was snubbed from the Pro Bowl team, argued that the cup used for his urine specimen was contaminated because it was "leaking." The NFL apparently agreed that the "chain of custody" was broken and the positive test for Adderall was invalid. It's massive news for the Seahawks, who will now have their elite corner duo available for the playoffs as Brandon Browner's four-game suspension will be up after Week 17.

On the one hand, happy for Seattle since they'll be a fun team to pull for in the playoffs.

Other hand, shady turn of events lets Sherman off the hook ala Braun who we know cheated and got away with it.

              Shut up you insufferable troll.

Players have conceded their personal rights in order to be drug tested. In return for having their privacy violated, they negotiated strict testing procedures. Without that, what protection do they have from witch hunts? Good for Sherman and Braun for using their negotiated rights.

These poor professional athletes giving up their right to not be drug tested, my heart bleeds.

Good for them for having proper lawyers to poke holes (no pun intended) in the respective testing procedures.

Fact remains the only reason Braun got out of his suspension was because an individual did not ship the sample in the amount of time required by the policy. All accounts are the seals on his sample were not broken and his 30:1 TE ratio is washed away because of it.

At least he was smart enough not to blame a physician, a drink or some other cockamamie excuse.

No these aren't excuses. These are legitimate violations of the testing procedure that ruined the integrity of the samples. These procedures were put into place specifically to protect the individual player's integrity and prevent any kind of tampering. Good for the players to be smart enough to realize their rights were being violated, and that they were wrongfully being prosecuted.

As far as anyone should be concerned Sherman is innocent. Stop acting like a shit faced moron for once.

If these players don't like being drug tested they can go play in the CFL or AFL gtfo with this nonsense

Braun was chosen at random to take a piss test. He did so, the sample was divided into 'A' and 'B' samples in his presence, secured and taped up. Mind you, at no time during the lifespan of these 2 samples was there any evidence they had been tampered with. The samples showed the elevated testosterone ratio and further, more expansive testing showed the sample contained synthetic testosterone (meaning it was not created within his body).

Now, whether the sample was kept in a fridge in the collector's home or sat over the weekend at a FedEx facility. There are experts who say the sample would not develop foreign testosterone unless it was tampered with.

Hopefully, future collectors do not leave any wiggle room and follow the new guidelines without any room for interpretation.

I will admit, I hated this dude when he trolled Brady at the time, because he came off as a moron on a .500 team.

After relying on their defense and seeing how amazing Sherman has played, I've become a fan.

                              7/29/2011: Signed a four-year, $2,222,424 contract. The deal included a $182,424 signing bonus. 2012: $465,000, 2013: $555,000, 2014: $645,000, 2015: Free Agent

Yeah.. that deal that paid him 465K this year totally changed him.

                              Go play in traffic already.
