I hope the Ravens are smart and give a large number of their regulars most of this weeks game off. No reason to play them with everything basically locked up and only an outside shot at the 3 seed, which by the way, I wouldn't want. It's an easier road through the AFC to go Colts, then @ Houston, than it is to go Bengals, then @ Denver, IMO. That's from my POV as a Ravens fan, no disrespect to the Colts or Texans but the Ravens can beat them, they generally have tough games with the Bengals and they haven't beaten Peyton in over a decade...

Great way to close out the season, regardless of whether you are a fan of those two teams or not. Nothing beats a game to decide the division, and a "win or go home" scenario that is most likely to play out.

I think it's because the NFL doesn't want to compete with college football bowl games that are on but I could be wrong

Freeman needs to have a big game if he wants any chance at an extension. I honestly don't completely hate Freeman and I think he's better than what's out there and what is coming out, but at the same time I'd rather put the ball in Josh's court and let his play dictate his contract. Grab a QB in the middle of the draft as insurance because Orlovsky is a decent backup but that's all he is really. I really don't know what happened, his completion % dropped nearly 8 points this year, but he's cut down on his INTs by 6. I'd imagine he will have a solid year next year when everyone that was brought in on offense is back and healthy, and Josh has a better feel for the offense they are running. The biggest thing that needs to happen though is a complete overhaul of the secondary, because it doesn't matter what Josh does if these mfers are giving up the most yards through the air in the league. The D line and run D is there, even a middle of the pack secondary will result in closer games and more wins.

As far as this week is concerned I'm really excited to watch AP try and go for the record and Megatron hit 2K. Matt Stafford is 7 pass attempts away from the all time record as well. Just fucking unreal that his guy had 41 TDs last year and only has 17 this year.

Freemans completion percentage dropped because they allowed him to take shots down field more frequently. The job is his to lose but there definitely needs to be some competition brought in during the offseason to push him. He has all the tools but can be wildly inconsistent. That said these last 2 games werent all his fault and our defense being as shitty as it is certainly hasnt helped matters. Getting everyone healthy (2 all pro gurads) and having another solid draft and offseason will be key. I really hope we dont win this meaningless game, I get its good for players moral and all but fuck that shit, hurting your draft status this late is for the birds.
