Gruden did say he liked the Philly Rookie QB. Bahaha, now I'm really hoping he goes to Philly.

Dungy's teams weren't that great though. Their one playoff win in the 4 seasons prior was a really close win over a very average Redskins team. They got their asses kicked in Philly in games that weren't competitive at the start of the 2nd half. In the wildcard round. They're remembered as world beaters for some reason by people who apparently didn't pay any attention at the time.

Also, the major differences were on the offensive side of the ball. Their best defense was in 99, and they failed to get to the Super Bowl, much less win it. Sapp was a monster that year, and Hardy was still a great Mike. 02's defense was worse, but their offense was markedly improved. Brad Johnson was a totally different QB, McCardell and Pittman were brought in by Gruden played pivotal roles in the offense, Jurevicius had timely plays and was a new face, etc.
