Doubt he's out 14 months.. first of all. Especially if it's only a partial tear of the ACL.

ACL injuries are not what they were 20 years ago. They're not even what they were 5-10 years ago. RG3 will be back in time for the season opener IMO.. and could possibly be better with a stronger knee.

THAT said.. the Skins have to repair that field. Or RG3's career is going to be cut very short.. that was an awful awful surface for both sides to play on.

      at this thread

The main article stated it was a partial tear and they didnt know if the injury would even require surgery. Where all this missing an entire season nonsense is coming from is beyond me. I wouldn't be surprised to see RG3 playing in the preseason much less week 1.

Don't understand why anyone even tries arguing against bigbucs anymore. His whole argument against RG3 is the system he plays in.

Theres pretty much a thousand percent chance he has surgery if the reports are accurate.

So, we still don't know if it will require surgery, right?

Because we don't know the bold. Your words, emphasis mine.

Aragath was clearly insinuating there is a chance he wont require surgery while having a partial tear, the report was never in question. I simply threw the "if the reports are accurate" in there to cover all bases because he clearly wont require surgery if there isnt a tear but fags gonna fag anyway.

Still think its funny to pay the top ligament specialist in the world to be standing on your sidelines and then leave the medical decisions up to Shanahan's gut and whether RGIII had "earned the right" to play hurt.

He also came back from a concussion to play the next week earlier in the season. Always good to see the NFLs tougher stance on player safety in full effect though.

I am surprised with the NFL's concern about player safety that they let the teams play. I know it's the playoffs, but if an alternate venue needed to be found and you are espousing player safety, you do that.

I know that Snyder lets college teams play games there, and you have Fed Ex as a concert venue. However, you don't schedule those events during football season to hurt the field. You schedule them after the season, or you put down turf and it doesn't really matter anymore. His fault for the condition of the field.

Especially when said specialist is on team payroll as their doctor.

Doctor says his current prognosis is only lcl tear but it would be extremely rare to have an lcl tear without any other ligament damage. Expected to be able to play within 6-8 months but won't be back to 100% for about a year because of the psychological effects of tearing a ligament and being able to trust that knee fully again

hes gonna be fine physically. medical advances these days, besides seems like a partial tear.

Like someone said its going to be psychological part that will be hard.

IMO when RG3 did that bootleg and he limp ran to the sideline a few drives before the injury was probably the point when SHanny should have pulled him. RG3 couldnt even run normal towards the sideline with really no defenders around him.
