    Rex Ryan Press Conference

After listening to that hot mess yesterday, all I have to say is, Jet fans, your franchise is in trouble. Woody Johnson is as clueless as James Dolan. He basically gave Ryan the keys to the franchise, by saying Rex will have a say in who the next GM will be. What GM worth his salt would put up with that? It was typical Ryan bluster - "we're going to be a dangerous team", "teams won't want to play the NY Jets". Didn't we hear this last summer when you talked about Tebow and the Wildcat? And after four years, you just realised you have to get more involved in the offense?

    The Jets circus continues......

A coach in any other organization wouldn't have that happen. Holmgren with the Seahawks had GM power at one point, and they ended up taking that away from him. The team actually did better. A coach who didn't have GM power might be forced by ownership to make changes to their coaching staff makeup, and put more pressure on them to win now.

Instead, the Jets give Ryan power after a terrible season where he looked lost. He'll have a say in the next GM, and that means that GM will be a cap and scouting person, and not have a huge say in personnel matters. Not a smart decision.

It has been pure great entertainment to listen to Francesa ripping Rex on a daily basis. After that press conference he ripped him because he was basically asking for a do-over, after his fourth year.

The Jets are amazing in how they do everything backwards, up and down their organization. It's been a weekly comical act with them with Rex being the ring leader. I'm glad you mentioned that jeff, Rex is always using the same corny statements in his press conferences. That PC after the reports came out that said he wanted to leave was fucking awful.

Their problem is simply how bad their personnel is, starting with Sanchez, who went from bad to retarded.

The New York Post reports at least two execs have turned down the chance to interview with the Jets over salary cap concerns.
"Salary cap hell" is how one league source describes the Jets' situation, as they are already $19.4 million over the 2013 cap. Ex-Browns GM Tom Heckert canceled his interview while Dave Caldwell and Tom Telesco chose the Jaguars and Chargers, respectively, over the Jets. The team will have just 10 returning starters under contract in 2013. Per the Post, two undisclosed former GMs are expected to be added to the Jets' candidate list this weekend.

Couldn't happen to a better team. Good luck Ryan, maybe you should kiss Belichick's rings and just get it over with.
