and rams comment about the original lineup is false. They only used the 4 team format shown in that pic from 67-69....not to mentionthat pic is from 1968 because that was the one year the giants and saint were switched during that 3 year span. notice the giants are not in what we think of as the NFC East

The way you presented it was as though this is how the original nfl teams were aligned...and that is false. From 1967 through 1969 the nfl aligned there 16 teams into a 4 team 4 conference format. during the 1968 season the nfl used this alignment that you posted.

What year was this? Do you know? I didn't think the New Orleans Saints were around until right around the merger. I thought they were an expansion team in the later 60's, like 68ish. I'm surprised to see NO in the picture.
