Oh yeah, a decade ago, defense reigned supreme, and the Bucs defense was phenomenal, no way around it. Knowing calls or not, they played a great game.

I wonder how much of a say Garrett had in those hires. In my mind, that just gives Jerruh more people to give my job to when the team struggles and he decides to can Garrett. Though if you want to establish the Cover 2, hiring both of those guys are going to get the job done. The problem is that the Cover 2 as a primary defensive system is just about done.

I can't even believe this story has gained serious traction.

Brown clearly has an ax to grind, judging by his whiny comments about being demoted to #2 WR and missing out on his stupid 1,000 yard streak. And i'll take the opposite side of whatever side Jerry Rice is on, because anybody who watches him on ESPN knows that the man is a functioning retard.

The whole idea is absurd, and if I were Callihan I wouldn't even dignify this shit with a public response.

Not shocked Warner is defending a white guy. Yeah a HoF caliber play has an ax to grind with a nobody coach.

I think Rice and Brown discovered some of that kind Humboldt weed and cooked up a theory.

Callahan has come out with a statement. And looking at the wording of his words, those two pot smoking brothers might want to do some retraction of what they said. This could get stupid ugly.

Callihan should sue them for slander.

Brown is already backing off the insinuation that Callihan did it on purpose.

What is more plausible, a player having an ax to grind with a coach, or a coach intentionally tanking the fucking Super Bowl?

And in this case, the player basically admitted to having the grudge, and gave his reasons why.

Do you think before you post?

Why the fuck would they slay this guy now? Why not right after the beat down? Jerry Rice was one of the best there ever was, no doubt, but some of the shit that dude says baffles me.

I don't think either one of them insinuated anything, they outright said it. And like I said judging by the word Callahan used, those two might be looking at a lawsuit. And I don't have a problem with it, if he decides to.

So far Romanoski, Mangina, Gannon all have come to Callahan's defense. This entire story is unbelievably stupid, Brown and Rice best put down that chronic they have been smoking.

Even if you hate your owner and job, win the Super Bowl, wait out your contract, and make huge amounts of money somewhere else as a Super Bowl winning coach. Now if Brown wanted to argue that Callahan was a terrible head coach, I don't think anyone would really have an argument as to otherwise.

Brown shouldn't have used the word sabotage, even though that's what he felt Callahan did after changing the game plan.

Other Raiders like Lincoln Kennedy, Rice, and Jon Ritche have come out saying the same thing. I don't really think it would have made a difference because Gruden and the Bucs knew exactly what the Raiders were going to do regardless.

I like to think that the Raiders would have had a better chance if Robbins didn't go off the deep end, if I remember correctly he was a pro bowl center at one point, but it wouldn't have mattered and it doesn't matter anymore. Raiders got out coached and outplayed.

I'm still more bitter about that bullshit tuck rule to be honest. One of the dumbest rules I've ever seen in all of sports.

Lomas Brown was just on ESPN radio saying that all week Gruden was playing QB in practice and knew all of the calls, hand signals, etc.

Why would you not switch your hand signals up a little bit? Would that be too much to do, even just some. Maybe throw in some dummy audibles of old signals to confuse them.
