I'm sure half the people on the field Sunday are cheating. I don't care, you will never stop these guys from cheating, but hopefully they harass Lewis about this until kickoff and beyond, because he's a creep and deserves whatever scrutiny he gets to counter act this bullshit image he's created.
    oh, come on.

he lied about his being around an incident. That does not equal murdering anyone or even being involved in a fight. Its over and done. If he had a bad character, something else would have happened by now. He's lived a clean life since than. Its over.

If everyone is "cheating"...is it really cheating?

Every pro athlete uses something under the sun to increase their ability as an athlete...its always been done...whether its with stimulants or performance enhancers or just regular ol OTC's that aren't yet banned...its always been done...every sport.

The idea that athletes "cheat" is a misnomer.

Its funny to see baseball players / cyclists be crucified for using a banned substance. Football players doing it is almost swept under the rug. There is nobody questioning Ray's HoF credentials. Yet we see McGwire, Sosa, Clemens being kept out if the hall for using. I find it all very interesting.

Are you trying to say that it's swept under the rug because roid rage isn't as noticeable in other sports compared with football?

                    My theory is this:

People relate more to baseball / cycling more personally for some reason. Maybe it's because the athletes don't look at muscular as football. They look at those sports and somehow believe they could have somehow played those sports. I hear many comments from people talking about baseball/cycling and PED's say "oh I'll just take this/that and I could win a tour de france." Or "I could take this/that and hit 70 home runs." So it's almost like they believe they were cheated somehow. With football it's different.

Baseball and Cycling are self-hating sports...those that operate its day-to-day functions hate what it has become of its athletes.

Football, to a point, is becoming that, too...with relation to head trauma, moreover drug usage.

Not really swept under the rug. This season alone we've seen several cases involving adderall.

Then there's that substance many teams use on the sidelines with weird funking side effects. Forgot the name, Real Sports did a story some time ago.

Baseball had an entire era where roids was so key, decade later the bbwoa try to run and hide from it. This despite owners turning a blind eye and the same with the union.

I always thought it had to do with records. NFL players using drugs aren't breaking all-time records that people thought would never be touched.

That's a part of it, the other thing in my mind is the fact that baseball is considered a game of mortals. A game of humans.

We as a nation have always seemed to put football in a gladiator sport category. A bunch of hulking monsters crushing their heads together for our enjoyment. Baseball though, your neighbor could be a baseball player. Greg Maddux looked like an underwriter but was one of the best pitchers of all time. We know a football player when we see them, they are gigantic human beings. You could stand two feet away from a major league baseball player and REALLY not know.

Not necessarily saying that's my stance, but I'd imagine that's why you see the conflicting responses.

                                Which would you rather hear?

How awesome of a guy Ray Lewis is or see Drew Brees everywhere and talk about Hurricane Katrina?
With Ray Lewis, Drew Brees and Hurricane Katrina I thought you'd stay as far away from this SB as possible.
