Jesse on commentary is like gold for the ears.

The MLB Network guy on PBP.

Say what you want about the XFL as a failure, for a 1 season deal, it was pretty interesting, influenced the NFL in part on some production things and gave chances for guys to play and get noticed by the NFL.

Vince would have pulled the trigger on a 2nd season, but NBC said fuck no and there was no TV.

Same, it was an interesting wrinkle they added.

I think 10 years later, with the obsession we now have with football, the XFL idea could work. We'll never know, but I think it might.

and it was a dumb idea that lead to serious injury. I'm sure the players thought it was dumb too but they wanted a job

how would running and diving to get the ball lead to serious injury? guys get hammered and piled on going for a fumble and this is just 2 guys. it was also one of the few ideas that were good from the xfl.
