    Chiefs Interested In Nick Foles

    Rotoworld

According to USA Today, the Chiefs are interested in trading for Nick Foles should he become available.

It's the first concrete report confirming Kansas City's interest, while the rest have been speculation and dot connecting. USA Today's source says the Chiefs are "working on plans to add a quarterback," and Foles is one of the possibilities. NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah recently stated coach Andy Reid and OC Doug Pederson are "very high" on Foles' future. Matt Cassel will be released, and if the Eagles make Foles available, he could likely be had for a mid-round pick.

League sources tell CSN Philly the Eagles have "no plans" to trade Nick Foles unless they're "blown away by an offer."

The Associated Press reports that the Eagles would want a first- or second-round pick to "even consider" trading Nick Foles.

The AP's story cites an "NFL source," which is clearly in the Eagles organization and using the media in an attempt to create leverage. Foles' trade value is not a first- or second-round pick, and the Eagles know that. But they intend to feign the impression that it is, and that there's "no way" they'd trade Foles without being offered a top-two-round draft pick. We suspect Foles will be traded for a third- or fourth-rounder closer to April's draft. In the meantime, the Eagles will pretend Foles is part of Chip Kelly's long-term plan.
