All of these stats are from the regular season.. Asante's postseason heroics with the Pats makes him more valuable than Woodson IMO.

No arguing Asante in the playoffs. There is just no doubt Woodson is one of the best playmakers this game has ever seen and is an obvious HoFer

Aeneas Williams? Dude hasn't played in like a decade. And definitely isn't better than Woodson, if you're asking me. Champ & Asante can make for some arguments. But are either of those guys going to be up for the HOF at the same time? Champ maybe. Probably not Asante. And only on a first ballot basis. They all get in.

Chuck is a Hall of Fame player. Argue it all you want. You're a fool if you do.

Theres a mountain of dumbassery in this thread.

Deion , Rod Woodson , Darrel Green. Thats what HOF locks look like at CB. Everyone else is "iffy" or "maybe"

There's about a dozen or so CBs in the HOF..total. Remember that.

Go look at some of the number of stops on passing plays stats and number of times targetted.

Lam: "...who do you think was the greatest defensive back that you have ever faced?

Rice: "I have a couple guys. I’ll give you two. Deion Sanders and also Darrell Green. Because you’re looking at two guys that were fast, that can run like a deer. With Darrell Green and Deion, they were very physical at the line of scrimmage. So I had my work cut out when I had to face those guys. And when we talk about different matchups, Deion and I, we joke about this today, the night before the game, we couldn’t sleep because we know the battle we’re going to have the next day. But it was a battle that was out of respect because I know he was talented and it was something you live for each ball game."

TSR: Is there a current defensive back playing now that would fit into Green or Sanders’ mold?

JR: You know what, no, because you don’t have that many cornerbacks that play one on one anymore. It’s because of the (defensive) schemes, so you know, you still have some good defensive backs out there but (Green and Sanders) were going to pretty much be singled up with the best receiver on every team. And their job was to shut that guy down and they were great.

                          Chuck Cecil?

Btw, Aeneas Williams did know how to stop a SF QB.

Like dropping that easy pick that ruined the Pats undefeated season and allowed the Giants to win the Super Bowl?

Who said Darrell Green wasnt a HoF lock? There will never be another player like him to compare him to.
