Cardinals Trying To Rework Kevin Kolb's Contract

    Rotoworld

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on NFL Live Friday that Kevin Kolb's future with the Cardinals is "up in the air."

ESPN's Chris Mortensen says the Cards are trying to rework Kolb's contract. If the sides can't reach an agreement, "both sides move on." Kolb is owed a $2 million roster bonus on March 15, and his future will be decided before then. Kolb is a poor fit for new coach Bruce Arians' vertical-passing philosophy.

Hmm, so where might Kolb end up if he doesn't stay in Arizona?

Kolb is a poor fit for any philosophy with passing involved.

Not much of a choice considering he is still the best QB on the roster. I'd feel much more comfortable with Kolb in the wings until they can find their guy to take over (hopefully Geno).

Give him $1 million for every touchdown pass he throws. He's due to make $9 million in 2013, so the Cardinals can save about $7 million if he reworks it.

For all the Cardinal fans and other fans bashing Kolb, when he was playing, the Cards were winning this year. I agree his salary is too ridiculous, but to write him off completely is just strange. Give him one more chance.
