JimLeavy finally posted something I agree with, the quote from Aaron Rodgers. Skip has a gimmick that he's used to grow into a very big media personality and make people tune in to First Take. It works, I hear more about Skip Bayless than I do any other media member from ESPN.

Sherman is taking shit way too personal and is coming off as a huge asshole here. Skip is 100% right, Sherman is becoming known for his mouth, not his amazing game.

I hate everything about that clip. Loudmouths versus loudmouths. I'm glad I don't watch that show. They are both acting. If I want to see a fake TV personality be funny, I'll watch the Colbert Report.

Sherman got trolled. He thought he'd come on there and make everyone realize Skip is a jackass, the problem is everyone already knows Skip is a jackass. He just got baited into Skip's schtick.

I remember at my old job, they had a huge flat screen in the break room. The ghetto people would put on maury povich or the "OHHHHHHHH" + screaming and fighting type shows. One day, quite a few of us complained that we didn't want to watch that shit in the break room because we were going there to chill out and we argued with customers all day and didn't want to see people fake argue as "entertainment". So they changed the channel to ESPN. The next day, the ghetto people complained loudly asking "how is first take any different?" and nobody could really respond. Upon further reflection, I realized that it's probably not a coincidence that the shows air during the same time slots.

Meanwhile, Sherman and Bayless both just reached an audience that they wouldn't normally have because I will not watch these assholes argue live, (Don't even get me started on Stephen A.'s New Yorker caricature, or how if anyone screamed at me that much in the real world I'd deck them, or they've said the word Tebow more than Goblinslayer, and... fuck I got started) but I watched the clip just now. the video got another unique viewer. Skip will sure as shit bring up how many hits he generates on his videos next time he's up for a contract renegotiation, especially given how Nielson ratings are painfully antiquated and videos get to way more eyeballs than a show airing during a fixed time frame that anyone with a 9-5 ain't going to be around for.

Congratulations, we all fucking fail at life, we just helped Skip Bayless get paid more to be a total fucking douchebag.

Sherman should talk shit now when he's at the top of his game because it makes people go back and take a look at how well he's been playing. That could come in handy when he's trying to get paid down the road.

Agreed, why do you think guys like Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning ignore fuckheads like Stephen A and Skip Bayless? Those guys are above that and know that there is nothing to gain by associating with people like that and you're only helping them out. If people want to stop hearing about Skip Bayless its real simple stop giving him the attention he wants. Granted I think most people on this site do that.

What I find more odd or scary not sure which word to use, is that people actually agree with the fucking things they say, people will say "Skip says things that nobody has the balls to say" just really? I mean Skip Bayless thought Austin Rivers was the best talent in this past draft, he once proclaimed Tim Tebow is a better "clutch" player than Aaron Rodgers, I mean he has some weird anti Russell Westbrook fetish dude is always calling him a shot jacker yet he'll suck Kobe and Carmelo's dick.

I think this plays into more of ESPN having so much power in sports and how for so long nobody has been able to challenge them, thankfully we're starting to get more options with NBC Sports network, CBS Sports network, and FOX will have a channel of their own very soon. So hopefully ESPN won't be able to slide by with halfass "journalism" for much longer.

I wish Skip would have just said that, because it would have ended the discussion. Sherman is a great player and he knows what he is doing as well, because most people wouldn't even know who he was if it wasn't for his ramblings. Anytime an athlete goes on First Take and goes at Bayless it only fuels Bayless' shtick even more and he wins.

Skip is a douche and he kind of deserves a verbal slaying for being such a douche these last few years. That being said, Richard Sherman should be prepared to take a beating for his appearance. For such a smart and accomplished guy, he came off sounding like a fucking idiot. He was stuttering and stammering over his insults. If you want to own someone on tv, make sure you can spit out what you want in a eloquent manner.

The biggest issue with all of this is that people are still watching ESPN. ESPN sucks and this is the shit they put on in the morning. I never watch ESPN unless I absolutely have to. Otherwise, I get my sports news on the net or I will watch NFLN, MLBN, NHLN, etc.
