    49ers sign Glenn Dorsey

    Don't know the terms yet.

Nice depth. Something we need. Wonder if we have him long enough to take over when Smith is gone. Won't replace him of course..

      Worthless plug:

In 220 this year, I traded Alex Smith for a 2nd and 4th rder. Last Madden cycle, I traded (then resigned) for Glenn Dorsey (traded Chilo Rachal). Someone give me a job in a Front office dammit

The 49ers plan to play newly signed Glenn Dorsey at nose tackle in their 3-4.

At 6-foot-1 and just over 300 pounds, Dorsey will be an undersized nose tackle in the Jay Ratliff mold. The 49ers will likely give him plenty of penetrating opportunities as opposed to using Dorsey as a two-gap plugger. Dorsey's two-year deal is worth $6 million. He received a $2.285 million signing bonus.
