Bills signed QB Kevin Kolb to a two-year, $13 million contract.
The deal makes Kolb the heavy favorite to enter training camp as the Bills' starter. Per The Sideline View's Adam Caplan, the Bills put a "full court press" on Kolb this week and believe he's a strong fit for OC Nathaniel Hackett "K-Gun" offense. The signing won't keep them from using an early-round pick on a quarterback. It's still not much of an upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick, but Kolb will provide a viable short-term answer for Buffalo.Comment

Like this can be spun as an upgrade to Fitzpatrick. Fitz was overpaid, but at least could be counted on to be healthy and on the field, and started more games than Kolb. It's a team that has some rebuilding to do, but I would have gone hard after Alex Smith, because there is plenty of talent right now on the offensive side to work with.Comment
