If you pay attention going forward, or look back on media stuff when he was in Miami, Vernon is constantly around him and looking over him. Try to find the episode of Scoring the Deal on HGTV where Vontae wanted to sell his home in FL for $1 million more than he bought it, it's a perfect example (aside from the fact the idiot didn't realize FL homes are the worst hit with depreciation and he wants $1 million MORE because he added some decorations). Also like when Ireland told him on Hard Knocks he was traded, first thing out of his mouth was "Can I call my Grandma?" Seriously? That's a grown fucking man right there! Also you saw on Hard Knocks what a lazy fuck he is, and this has been a constant problem, always an excuse to get out of working. Not to mention showing up once to practice drunk from the night before where Brandon Marshall almost beat his ass because of it. Decent corner, not a great corner, will never live up to his #1 pick status. We got back a second for him instead of nothing, which is what would have happened when we didn't give him the $8-10 million a year he'll probably want just like Sean Smith did. Also don't have to put up with his constant holding and PI calls.
Thanks, My point was that after the trade last year it seemed to me like Miami fans felt Vontae was the weaker corner and in large part expendable. So to see such negativity surrounding smith was interesting considering how happy Indianapolis seems to be with Davis right now.

So when Indy got a hold of the guy I was expecting an average player who might get a few picks, needless to say he played better than that. We'll see if he does it in the future because I think he's going into his contract year.

According to the National Football Post's Russ Lande, OTs Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher and Oregon DE/OLB Dion Jordan are the only three players the Chiefs are considering with the No. 1 pick.

GM John Dorsey said the team was down to four choices, but it's apparently only three. Perhaps Dorsey was leaving the door open for Geno Smith to be considered in case a quarterback-desperate team gets the itch to trade into the No. 1 spot. The Chiefs remain interested in trading down, but they'll likely end up staying put in the top spot, and taking their left tackle of the future.
