I know...and he's doing a horrible job. He needs an actual adviser and an agent who will tell him what needs to be done to play competitively. Whoever is telling him that he should only play QB and that's it, forever, needs to be fired. I said when he came in the league that he would be an amazing FB.
He is the highest rated passer in history of the SEC/2nd highest in NCAA (170.8), highest total touchdowns in SEC (145), highest rushing touchdowns in SEC (57), highest passing yards per attempt (10.4) and had a 67% career completion percentage.
He would thrive in the CFL. He would become the face of that league and maybe get some more recognition down here.Comment

The CFL is populated (mainly) by NFL scrubs that couldn't make it in the big time, and to think that he couldn't even be a backup is silly. The league is built for him. He may not throw for a ton of yards, but he can run and run hard. He would bowl over the majority of CFL defenses. Plus, contrary to popular opinion, he is a great thrower.

What does that have to do with throwing?
You know who else had some really great passing numbers in college(both efficiency ratings and total numbers)? Vince Young and Mike Vick.
Maybe it's just me...but I would expect a "great thrower" to complete more than 48% of his career passing attempts.Comment

Tebow would throw to a 5 star speedy WR two yards behind the line of scrimmage and he would run for 60 yards. Tebow was a great thrower if that is how you define "throwing".Comment

Thank god we finally released him. Now to let go of rex and Mark and the franchise will be able to move forward.Comment

Jets release a runner who can barely throw to make room for a younger runner who can barely throw.
If they would have kept Tebow he Sanchez and Geno would have been the most inaccurate trio I've seen on a roster since the Cowboys had Banks/Quincy/and that other guy.Best reason to have a license.

I guess I must be mistaken. I guess the QB that I watched for 4 years at my alma mater was a different guy. I guess the guy who broke all kinds of NCAA and SEC passing records was a different number 15. Those 5 star receivers got quite a workout from 2 yards behind the line to run for almost 10,000 YAC.
Yes, he has almost 10,000 NCAA career passing yards. 10 yards per pass attempt. 67% completion.
I guess my definition of "rushing touchdowns" and "passing touchdowns" are skewed too. Or not. Since he had 57 of each.
This is all aside the point of I agree that he is not built for an NFL QB. He should switch positions to ensure his future. Pretending he wasn't an amazing college QB simply makes you look stupid.
Read it. Look at the statistics. This isn't made up.
The guy won a Heisman as a sophomore, won 2 SEC champs and won 2 national championships. He went 13-1 twice.
And you're right, I know hardly anything about the CFL. I couldn't name you a single player or more than 2 teams. I guarantee you if Tebow went there, I would watch.
