Geno Smith Fires Agent over not being 1st round pick
Season I: 10-6 (NFC North Champions)
Season II: 9-7 (NFC North Champions)
Season III: 13-3 (NFC Champions)
Season IV: 11-5 (NFC North Champions)
Season V: 2-1
I wouldn't be surprised if he goes with Jay-z's agency as it seems Jay is focusing on NY athletes right now. The only reason him leaving NY or firing his agent is a big deal to some is because he is a QB. I don't get the correlation between him not wanting to sit in the green room another day or him firing his agents and it somehow equating to him not handling adversity well. It is unfortunate though because if he doesn't succeed people will point to these decisions as to why he failed, which is comical.

He's blaming other people for him not getting drafted as high as he wanted to be. If you want to get drafted higher, be a better player. Your agent can't do that for you.
I'm gonna for a second and say that the agents weren't there the second day, and Genos side of the story is that the agent leaving is why he was fired.
The Jets gave me hope that it wouldn't be as big of a fucking circus there this year. I guess not.

I highly doubt he is blaming his agent for his fall in the draft. IMO people should stop making assumptions and trying to psychoanalyze Smith on one basic decision. It is unfortunate that people have already decided that they don't like Smith.

Unless the agent is telling him to sit out workouts, not interview with some teams, etc. I think its funny that this happens to a player on the Jets, but I think it's a two-way street, and also that Smith can overrule his agents. In a sense, they are just his advisors.
