Off-topic but I enjoyed NFL Europe. It played during the off-season so I still had football to watch.

I think most of these guys would be lost in college without the hand holding that comes with being a NCAA athlete.

Probably true, but it's not the worst idea if you really want to give guys a head start on their transition out of football. Of course, the NCAA would never go for this so the point is moot.

I'm pretty sure the players would keep the old school "see me in my office" disingenuous pep talk firing in place if it meant they didn't have to play these ridiculous Thursday night games on three days rest.

Talk about inhumane. Start with that.

Amen. Can't preach player safety on one hand then keep throwing them in harm's way more frequently than necessary.
