"Anyone who is a dolphins fan cannot possibly explain enough to a non-fan..."

If other teams have players like this, either now or in their history, then it is not hard to explain it. Simply reference the other player. He was a team leader, hard worker, team player and great guy. It doesn't need hyperbole.

Maybe if we were Dolphins fans we'd understand but it's far too advanced for us.

I loved watching Zach Thomas play middle linebacker.

He was the only thing anyone enjoyed watching about the Dolphins for some time.

I know he was a great college football player as well but can't really remember him at Texas Tech.

But seriously, forget about all the stats or plays because the only thing I really care about is seeing a bust of this guys jaw.

Zach Thomas looks like a player from NBA jam.

I wouldn't vote him in. I think his early years were fantastic but he was easy to get by in coverage. He didn't cover enough field for a long enough time and just nothing that made Urlacher and Lewis stand out did he have. He's the Thurman Thomas of 00s LBers.
Best reason to have a license.

FWIW I'd put Thurman Thomas in the HOF.

Fair enough on him being the "Thurman Thomas" of linebackers........because that means he'll get into the HOF, since Thurman has already been in for 6 years.
