In retrospect, yeah Sharper only played 2 years, but I still think Sharper is worthy of consideration. I mean this was a horrible franchise, with very few HOF'ers. Sharper lead the NFL in INT's (9) and D-TD's (3) on the super bowl winning team. He was simply magnificent, and the Saints don't have many of those guys to choose from. Granted Sharper played the majority of his career in GB, sure, but I think some guys here are not taking into account the historical context of the Saints winning the SB in 2009, after Katrina, they revitalized that city. Brees and Sharper were HUGE parts in accomplishing that. Brees more than anybody, but Sharpers presence all season was pretty big.
As for Archie vs Brees: Archie was popular among the fanbase, but what Brees did for that city, at that time, forgetaboutit. Brees > ArchieLast edited by Shayn•Da•Pain; 06-02-2013, 04:19 AM.sigpicComment
