Why? Because he had a bunch of comeback games in 2011 and won 2 superbowls?

Why is Eli better than Kaep?

And don't say because he's got some bullshit clutch gene. Why is Eli actually "better" than Kaep??
Kaep hasn't even started a full 16 games. Eli has 2 Super Bowls and has been an outstanding player for the majority of his career.. save for a couple seasons (2010 he had a ton of picks for example).

Kaep is more athletic than Eli by a long shot, and has a bright future you would think.. but to say he's better than Eli because of 10 games he started and a playoff run (which came against two of the worst defenses in football btw).. is very premature IMO.

Saying Eli Manning is a better QB because he won 2 superbowls is silly and has nothing to do with his skillset. Eli Manning is the definition of inconsistent and last year he was perfectly mediocre.

Kaep is a better passer and obviously he can run.

2011 Eli had a pretty good season. But that was 2011.

Would you honestly rather have Eli Manning as your QB than Kaepernick?

2012 Eli had just under 4000 yards with 26 TD. The Giants were inconsistent and finished 9-7 in large part because of a defense that couldn't stop anybody. Not to say Eli didn't have his issues from time to time.. but he still had a very good year all things considered.

Again.. you're getting excited based on Kaep's performance against a Packers defense that was awful, and his performance against the Falcons who were awful. He played well in the Super Bowl (though I still firmly believe if the power doesn't go out.. the Ravens win by at least 3 TD's) but has still ONLY started 10 games in his career.

He has a lot of potential.. and is playing on a team stacked with talent.. so would it surprise me if he becomes one of those Top 6 or 7 QB's in football? No. But as the question reads... "what QB's would I take to win a game on an neutral field" .. yeah I'm taking a 2x Super Bowl Champion over a guy with 10 starts who probably isn't even the best QB in his own division.. much less a Top 10 QB.

Russell Wilson is not better than Kaepernick either. Take off your homer goggles, maybe you'll be able to see a little better.

It blows my mind how many people would rather have Eli at QB than RG3, Kaep, Big Ben, Matt Ryan, etc. You would rather have Eli as your QB than some of these guys?

If I was doing a "who would I rather have" list it would look something like.

                    1. Aaron Rodgers
                    2. Colin Kaepernick
                    3. Robert Griffin III
                    4. Drew Brees
                    5. Tom Brady
                    6. Joe Flacco
                    7. Ben Roesthlisberger
                    8. Matt Ryan
                    9. Andrew Luck
                    10. Cam Netwon

My original list was who I thought were the best QB's as of right now. If Kaep rips apart the league as he did at the end of the season and during the playoffs he would have to move into the top echelon of QBs. However, I would like wait and see first.

That definitely makes for a more interesting, less cliche list.

What would Eli have to do to prove he is better than Kaep in ASO's eyes?

Be more consistent from year to year and from game to game and quarter to quarter.

Eli had 4 games with 0 td passes and 6 games with 1 td pass last season. 20 of his TD passes literally came in 6 games while the other 6 came in 10 games. You don't see anything wrong with that? He's a HUGE reason they didn't make the playoffs last year.

Eli is far from elite but because he had a couple years where he had a lot of clutch games and won 2 superbowls people think he's a half step behind guys like Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.

Absolutely blows my mind. Honestly open your eyes.

So Kaep has been MOAR consistent than Eli?
