Kaep is more athletic than Eli by a long shot, and has a bright future you would think.. but to say he's better than Eli because of 10 games he started and a playoff run (which came against two of the worst defenses in football btw).. is very premature IMO.

Another thread ruined by Aso. I originally groaned him because of his comments on Andrew Luck, but shit just got worse and worse. I don't even care that you are slamming Eli, but the fact that you are criticizing him for his consistency while comparing him to a guy who has started a total of 10 games is absolutely retarded.

If Kaep was better than Eli, then woulda pulled through in the SB. 4 passes to get a TD and you gets nothing.

if we speaking of consistency. Eli constantly comes through when he is needed the most in the Super Bowl.

Eli isn't even a Top 5 QB in the league but you are an idiot to want a guy with a 10 game stretch over a 2 time Super Bowl champion.

I think its much harder to rank 9-20 or so than it is 1-8. If you don't have some sort of order between Rodgers, Brady, Gomer, Cletus, Brees, Roethlisberger, Flacco, and Ryan in your Top 8, you suck at watching football. 9-20 is where it gets murky and tough to rank guys. It really comes down to your homerism, preference, or how you project the young guys.

You got the stat compilers like Tony Romo, Matt Stafford, and Phillip Rivers. You got the young guys like Andrew Luck, Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson. Then you got then underrated guys like Andy Dalton and Matt Schaub who just get their teams to the playoffs.

Kaepernick is young and obviously got some talent...but, think he's being overrated in this thread in a bit. I think San Francisco schemed their way down the stretch a lot, making up for his weaknesses with great scheme and playcalling (Washington and Seattle did the same thing with Griffin and Wilson respectively, so I'm not singling Kaep out). Often cutting the field in half for him, giving him the go ahead to run after he went through minimal progressions, etc. I'd give the credit to San Francisco's offensive play calling a little more than Kaepernick, but Kaepernick's skill set made everyone look good in that stretch...but he's got to get better, and he probably will...he's not a Top 10 QB yet. Definitely Top 20.

Real talk...a Top 10 QB scores on that Baltimore D in the red zone to win the game with their arm. Someone like Eli scores there with a big time pass into the end zone, because Baltimore just played assignment football on that red zone stand, which is a mind fuck for a young QB like Kaepernick, but easy pickin's for a guy with arm talent and balls like Eli...they took away the run and dared him to make a difficult pass. Eli has big fucking balls and would have put four into the air and one of'em would have connected because A) Baltimore's pass defense kind of sucked and B) he's got accuracy on the toughest throws against Zone Coverage. Eli would have said fuck you, and scored...Kaepernick is young and couldn't make the read fast enough or have the balls and confidence to look'em in the eyes and gun'em down.

Do you even watch football? Eli has been the definition of inconsistent since he entered the league.

OMG 59% completions you totaled swayed me.

2009 he had a good season
                                2010 he threw a league leading 25 INT's just like he threw a league leading 20 INT's in '07

and in 2012 he padded his stats in a meaningless week 17 game against a bad Eagles team. 21 TD's - 15 INT's with under 60% completions

                                OMG HE'S SO GOOD.

6 TD PASSES IN 10 GAMES... THEN 20 IN THE OTHER 6...

Do people even watch Eli Manning games anymore or do they have amnesia from the rest of his career?

2009 and 2011 are the only consistently good seasons Eli had to where you could fit him into that elite category. Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, etc. have been doing this shit week in and week out and have played more consistently in games for longer than Eli ever has. To have him a spot behind them in some of these rankings is absurd. Why the fuck would Big Ben not be ahead of Eli? Can someone answer that. What makes Eli better than Big Ben in 90% of these rankings?

Inconsistent Eli is a pretty fitting nickname. I'm gonna stick with that.
